Topic: If you break Gods Commandment did you sin?

Accepting Jesus is accepting Jesus as lord and saviour. That would then instil that we follow his teachings, and praise him as the only begotten child of our father. Which would then accept his ultimate gift he gave for us all.

Where did Jesus ever claim to be the "only" begotten son of our Father? huh

Where did Jesus ever asked to be Praised?

Where did Jesus ever teach that the Torah is the "Word of God" or that anyone should support it as such?

In truth, I have recognized that Jesus was indeed God, in fact I've never questioned that. He was also certainly trying to be a savior. That's what Bodhisattvas do!

Jesus didn't need to save me, because I've already been 'saved'. In fact, Jesus acknowledged this very thing. Jesus himself acknowledged that he did not come for the righteous but for the spiritually sick.

Therefore if you are holding out an idealism that Jesus came for everyone, and that everyone is spiritually sick you, then you are actually in denial of the teachings of Jesus yourself.

If you're going to claim to teach what Jesus taught then be sure to get it RIGHT! drinker

accepting "jesus" simply be accepting he stood for "the only most good of humanity", which was "no greater than" within mankind.

and, that such notion is the "lord" of all truth, or the GREATEST TRUTH, as it destroys hatred bred within mankind of GREATER THAN.

and since it does, than such belief or knowing is as a saviour of mankind, or, SIMPLY saving mankind from the self created WARS AND HATRED OF "GREATER THAN".

"no greater than"...

tis the only three words one needs to know to get to heaven, lol...

oh, but that would destroy the need for the empires built that INSIST CHURCHES, PREACHERS, EVANGELIST, PROPHETS, BE GREATER THAN...

lol...

what a farce...

oh, but that would destroy the need for the empires built that INSIST CHURCHES, PREACHERS, EVANGELIST, PROPHETS, BE GREATER THAN...

But no one is greater then the other. Preachers, evangelists, prophets, ect are no greater then you or I. We are ALL equal in this life. We ALL fall short in the glory of God and not one sinner is greater then the other. Sinning is sinning, no fine lines or anything. There is but one unforgivable sin, and that is denying the lord thy God. ALL other sins are forgiveable if forgiveness is searched for.

It's never to late to seek forgiveness either, the only time it becomes to late is if you were to pass away on earth before you gave your heart over to the lord. But even right there on your death bed if you sincerely gave your heart over to the lord no matter what kind of life you lived, you would still find salvation in the lord.

and you understand how 'language' has cultural and contextual differences, especially over long periods of time

but cute assessment anyhow,,,

Oh, yes, I understand. Why don't you ask Him if He understands? Is He so much more stupider than I?

I hardly think so. We suffer coz we are not following His words. If you go and justify your interpretations, you are doing the Devil's work, my sweet young lady.

DO WHAT HE, THE ALMIGHTY GOD, SAYS, AND DON'T MESS AROUND WITH "INTERPRETING" HIS COMMANDS. HE IS NOT STUPID, HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS SAYING. IT'S IN LANGUAGE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE? THEN PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS, AND DO WHAT HE SAYS, NOT WHAT YOU INTERPRET HE SAYS.

And Christians are constantly perplexed by the non-Christians calling them hypocrites. You don't have any sense, you Christians, and our world is suffering for it.

LOL @ wux!!!

Wanna be literal again? Wanna be shown how much of hypocrite people (you) are? Trying to paraphrase pretending like you know what it says? Who's "interpreting" what here?

(from the Jewish Tenakh)
Bereshit-Genesis 1:28
28 And G-d blessed them; and G-d said unto them: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that creepeth upon the earth'.

Genesis 1:28 (King James Version)

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Genesis 1:28 (New International Version)

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

You are correct, He is not stupid. He proves that every day when "more stupider" people try to bastardise His words...

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth,
and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.
If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also;
from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."
Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father,
and it is enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you,
and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip?
He who has seen Me has seen the Father;
how do you say, 'Show us the Father'?"
(John 14:6-9)

"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me,
and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.
For I have come down from heaven,

not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
And this is the will of Him who sent Me,

that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing,
but raise it up on the last day.
For this is the will of My Father,
that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him,
may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him up
on the last day." (John 6:37-40)

The Jews gathered around him, saying,
"How long will you keep us in suspense?
If you are the Christ, tell us plainly."
Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe.
The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me,
but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them,
and they follow me. I give them eternal life,
and they shall never perish;
no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father,
who has given them to me, is greater than all;
no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.
I and the Father are one." (John 10:24-30)

"Your father Abraham rejoiced
at the thought of seeing my day;
he saw it and was glad."
"You are not yet fifty years old,"
the Jews said to him,
"and you have seen Abraham!"
"I tell you the truth,"

Also Jesus says:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life."

interpret:intransitive verb
: to act as an interpreter between speakers of different language

the bible is in many languages, Im sure american english isnt what was spoken by God,,,so , yes, interpreting is necessary to understanding and no God is not stupid but man is egotistical enough to have expected God to speak mans language instead of whatever language he chose to his chosen people,,,,

it is my responsibility to listen correctly , not Gods responsibility to speak down to the many levels of those trying to listen,,,

the brain cannot hear any data, and not interpret it, or assimilate the meaning for itself...

so it becomes a matter of what meaning creates the most unity, or goodwill amoung mankind, if "god" is purtorted to be of the goodwill of human civilization...

and of peace...

but somehow, this notion is "god" be a warring god, ready to stomp out the "unbelievers", since they care not about ETERNAL REWARD FOR THEMSELF...

of course, they are not self seekers, but rather lovers of their fellow man, and not of heavenly riches for themself, but wishing and wanting peace amoung all man as equal.

but, then many still wish and insist and propogate to mankind that "god" should be as hitler, that if one does not bow to him, that "god", with the same actions as hitler, shall thrust you into a nice oven for roasting alive...

since hitler as well, believed "god" was just this same type entity, he was able to justify his own tremendous genocide and action's against other humans...

how can it be missed, that what think of "god" as this same type character, teach extreme hate to be bred within humankind, and all it takes is one wack job in power, to utilize such belief in the people, to again accomplish such "godly" cleansing of the earth of evil...

but the self declared "lovers of god", more than lovers of humans, are to busy proving themself as correct, and as "supreme children", to notice the shitz and potential they are breeding.

fuccking cowards.

panty waist men that want their own *** spared, even damning their own children and families to protect themself from "hell"...

what a bunch of lunatics...

self serving self proving self loving self protecting run amock unto unsanity.

Lovers of God need aknowledge the difference between mortality and spirituality and which should take preference in the eternal life offered from God,,,,

but humans are often stuck in the thinking of the flesh with the flesh being the priority and miss the whole point of preparing the soul,,,,,

Yeah, I guess if you believe in the Gossips you have no choice but to believe that Jesus was the only begotten son of the God of Abraham.

I keep forgetting that the Gossips are just the ramblings of a bunch of biased men who had the agenda of trying to make this case. They were able to shove whatever words they wanted to into mouth of the poor dead man.

I give them far too much respect. I offer them the benefit of the doubt. I offer that they may have simply misunderstood Jesus, and possibly wrote their Gossips with sincerity in their misguided beliefs. But after reading the quotes that you've posted it's clearly to me that these men were far more than merely misguided, they were outright liars. They couldn't have been that far mislead. They had to have been lying on purpose.

Of course, this is what most atheists are convinced of. These stories were totally made-up fiction and there never even existed a man named Jesus.

I still personally believe that even though these stories are outright lies in places, they were still sparked by a man who at one point taught against the Torah, rejected the Scribes and Pharisees, and instead taught the karma principles of Buddhism.

It's crystal clear even by the Gossips that the man who sparked their writings rejected the Torah as the works of men. They have his man referring to the Torah as "Your Law" when speaking to the Scribes and Pharisees, and then they have him accusing the Scribes and Pharisees of being hypocrites and having it all wrong.

So even the Gossips have Jesus renouncing the Torah as the word of God, and revealing it to be the work of hypocritical scribes and Pharisees.

If Jesus did claim to be the only begotten son of God, he might have been mentally ill too. That's always a possibility. After all Jesus was human.

You have NO way to know if they were lying. You have no evidence to show of the opposite. So why should we believe it's a lie? There is more evidence of it being true then it being a lie. You have NO way to disprove what is written in the bible. And you continuously state there being a contradiction which we then come and show you how it's not and to that the best defence you have is "well that's your interpretation" or saying that we took verses out of context to try to make up something.

But I do have a way of knowing that they were lying.

It's extremely simple Cowboy. All you need to do is give God credit for being half-way intelligent and you can know that the Bible is a lie.

It's that simple.

Even an atheist can see this. You don't even need to actually believe in a "God" to see this. All you need to do is grasp the concept of an 'all-wise supreme being'.

If you can truly do that, then you should easily be able to dismiss the Bible as clearly not being from any all-wise God.

There is absolutely nothing wise about sending someone to Earth to convey a message to humans, and having that message end up being conveyed as extremely questionable and ambiguous hearsay rumors rather than as a direct document straight from the messenger himself written with true wisdom.

As far as I'm concerned, that's all the "proof" I need to know that these stores are necessarily false.

They are either highly exaggerated rumors of someone who was grossly misunderstood, or they are outright lies made-up to intentionally coerce people into worship a religious authority.

Most people who reject the Bible tend to believe the latter. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt as much as possible so I allow that they may have simply be grossly delusional. But we know that men are often purposefully deceitful, so I don't know why I give them the benefit of the doubt in the first place. I'm just trying to be nice, I guess.

But no way am I about to believe that an all-wise creator would be so utterly foolish to leave such an important message to humanity in the hands of hearsay rumors. Especially if he was planning on using the condition that if people refuse to believe the message they will be condemned to eternal death.

Not only would this be highly unwise, but to be perfectly blunt about it, it would be utterly stupid, IMHO.

So in order for me to believe in these stories I must first believe that our creator is utterly stupid.

That's my honest assessment Cowboy.

I don't believe that God is stupid. That's a contradiction to what God is supposed to be. flowerforyou

So I moved on to more sane spiritual philosophies.

You evidently believe that God will condemn me to death for not believing that he is stupid.

That's the God you necessarily must believe in, Cowboy.

You need to believe that God condemns honest decent people simply because they refuse to believe that God is stupid. That's the bottom line.

Because I DO NOT REJECT MY CREATOR. But I most certainly DO NOT BELIEVE in the Bible either!

So there you have your ULTIMATE contradiction. And thus I have my PROOF that the Bible can't possible be true.

The Bible claims that to not believe in it is to REJECT GOD!

I know that this is a LIE because I do not believe in the Bible, and I also know that I do not reject God!

Therefore I KNOW the Bible is a LIE!

I am living proof that the Bible is a LIE. flowerforyou

Besides, like I say, if Jesus was the only begotten son of God, and it wasn't God's intent or plan to have Jesus crucified for some reason, then please explain to me why you think God could not have protected his only begotten son from a fate that would not SERVE HIS PURPOSE?

Now it's my turn to make a prediction. I predict that you'll ignore these questions or hand-wave them off with superficial answers that don't even begin to address them.

So here, see if you can answer theses?

1. Was it God's plan to have Jesus crucified? If so, then what was God's reason for having Jesus crucified?

2. If you believe that it wasn't God's plan to have Jesus crucified, then please explain why God could not even protect his only begotten son from the evils of men?

These should be really easy questions for you since you seem to already believe you have the answers.

You, ab, spend a lot of your time refuting and TRYING to stigmatize the WORD of God and those who believe.

You, instead, do the proselytizing; spreading a distorted view hoping to destroy the church and those who believe the Word, while recruiting others to abandon their faith in the God of the bible.

No contradiction there. Do you worship God? Do you follow the commandments that our father has laid out before us? Do you do ANYTHING to show your gratitude for life to our father?

If you said no to any of those, then yes in the long run that would be denying the father.

And you do not know any of that is a lie, for you have not shown how it is. All you've shown is again your own speculations, nothing solid proof of anything.

You are on a mission to destroy.

Shame on you. spock

That's all opinionated my friend. You still have not shown any proof that they were lying. Or really any proof that they even just might have been lying.

Sure I have. They have claimed that to not believe in the Bible is to reject God. And I know that's necessarily false because I do not believe in the Bible and I do not reject God.

================================
I know that this is a LIE because I do not believe in the Bible, and I also know that I do not reject God!

Therefore I KNOW the Bible is a LIE!
=================================

No contradiction there.

Sure there is. The Bible claims that if I don't believe it I am rejecting God. Clearly that's not true.

Do you worship God?

Yes, totally. And I always have.

Do you follow the commandments that our father has laid out before us?

I am not aware of any commandments laid out by God.

Do you do ANYTHING to show your gratitude for life to our father?

Pretty much daily, and usually multiple times during a day. However, it's totally spontaneous and never pre-planned or anything like that.

I see no reason to go out of my way to make a big deal about it since I believe that God knows what's in my heart. God lives within me every second of my existence. In fact, without God I have no existence because God and I are one.

Although I don't think of God in patriarchal terms as you apparently do. So I don't think of God as a "Father". More like a friend.

Besides a Male God could not create life. Only a Female Goddess could do that. bigsmile

But gender is unimportant when it comes to spirit anyway so why even try push a gender onto God? That would only limit God to one gender. I believe that God is infinite and I see no reason to limit God to the masculine. That would only imply that God is limited in some way.

If you said no to any of those, then yes in the long run that would be denying the father.

Who's father? huh

I'm not interested in worshiping anyone's father.

Like I say, I'm not aware of any commandments laid out by God either. Clearly you're still attempting to sell a bigoted male-chauvinistic patriarchal dogma as the "Word of God".

You know I don't buy into that ignorance.

And you do not know any of that is a lie, for you have not shown how it is. All you've shown is again your own speculations, nothing solid proof of anything.

I've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that God would need to be stupid in order for the claims made by the authors of the Bible to be true.

Therefore I have proven that if God is not stupid, the Bible cannot be true.

Of course, I have not proven that God cannot be stupid. I'm just assuming that God is not stupid. I do confess to making that assumption. After all, I prefer to believe that God is all-wise. Why should I belittle God by thinking that God might be stupid? flowerforyou

Still all opinionated speculations. Even you calling God our father dumb is an opinionated speculation. Dumb, intelligent, ect are all variant to each person, as in so and so may think this or that is intelligent by this other guy sees it as stupid. So please try again and this time please use some form of facts. The bible is still nevertheless a form of factual evidence weather you wish to accept it or not. It is a first person diary of their experience with the lord. Now weather you wish to give it credit or not is YOUR opinion, nothing factual about it at all. So please give us some FACTUAL evidence that the bible is hearsay rumours and are not true.

So please, try again.

Try again?

What am I trying for? spock

I don't care whether you accept my proof or not. I'm just telling you that I have sufficient proof for myself that the Bible is necessarily a lie.

Keep in mind here Cowboy that you are the one who is trying to SELL the Bible as the "Word of God".

Not me.

I'm just telling you why I don't believe your claims.

I don't care whether YOU BELIEVE the in the Bible or not.

Go right ahead and believe it!

Be my GUEST! flowerforyou

I'm just telling you why I don't believe it's the word of any God.
