Ubuntu user since 2005

Since very recently switched to Linux Mint 10/Julia (more tweaked and based on UBUNTU platform); Julia is based on Ubuntu 10.10.

I like it. Has worked out better for me than Ubuntu has. Have it both on my laptop and desktop.

Mint is definitely cool. But then you got the best of Red Hat and Debian going for you there. That is just my opinion, though. I am using the shiki theme on my Ubuntu and it looks just like Fedora 14 when it is downloading. Linux can re-appropriate just like the Army can. One distro gets it and it can be available for all distros. That is the beauty of open source to me. I tried Julia and loved it.

I know, right. Its based on Debian. Why should I be afraid? I was reading on their forums to not be afraid of the dark. Its Xfce but also comes in Openbox. Their forums are really dark.laugh

CrunchBang Linux is an Debian-based distribution featuring the light-weight Openbox window manager and GTK+ applications. The distribution has been built from a minimal Debian system and customised to offer a good balance of speed and functionality. CrunchBang Linux is currently available as a live CD; however, the best performance is achieved by installing it to a hard disk.

I think the fear was a flashback from my DOS days.laugh
