Regular exercise is a pretty big deal for me in keeping my Lupus from flaring up. In the fall and winter I try and walk a lot and I love to go hiking when I can find someone to go with. In the summer I swim laps, although that's really not as good an exercise as walking, but it keeps me cool and moving over the summer months.
I lost 30 pounds last year and want to lose another 50 this year. |

I too feel weird when I don't do anything! Can't wait for the semester to start so I can hit some rec classes :) gonna have to try some new things during the free week to find something that I can substitute for water cardio for 2 weeks to keep me busy after i get my new tattoo :) Mebbe I can finally try Zumba & make a fool of myself-LOL! |

Oh yeah-took the dogs for an adventure around the pasture today! Did a little over 2 miles, but jogged at least a 1/3 of it & keep a steady pace for the rest! Coming up the hill from the pasture I realized that I never stopped to catch my breath and never slowed down....a year ago I had to stop 2-3 times coming up that B!tch to catch my breath. It made me smile
hehe-I must admit a couple times I just ran as fast and hard as I could like the dogs do when ya let them out with that dumbass, I don't have to ever stop running, but don't really know why I am running look & it was kinda cool... They are so much fun |

Have you all watched that new show on MTV called "I used to be Fat?" its an amazing thing to watch. No diet fads or pills, just straight hard workouts and eating right! What an inspiring show!

That show sounds cool, that is the way you should get in shape. I try to work out at least 5 days a week with weights and a bowflex right now while it is cold and then I will get back out on the road when it warms up again, usually about 5 miles a day. Mini-marathons (5 and 10K's) are actually fun when you go with a few friends and try to compete against each other. Healthy eating is also in the game but with enough exercise you do not have to deny yourself any type of food...just how much you eat.

I have not done a marathon yet. I am looking forward next year to do the breast cancer run. I love working out with other ppl. Specially cause i am so competitive. I am also thinking of getting into cycling. Well see.

i do weights 5 times a wk n walk 5 times a wk love it it great strees relieve n makes u feel alive n young

I am a gym rat but fighting requires that I be a gym rat so its good
Jiu Jitsu training and Thai Boxing traing 6 days a week 3-4 hours a day and on top of the I just started P90X its intense of course running as well I love it glad I have a job to where i get to work out everyday |
