I have met countless guys on this site and one other. These guys me send texts, flirts and even call me some of them, I have only met one of them in person, scoring another date is like murder. It's hard for one thing because most of us are parents and are working around our kids, but I really feel as a woman, i should have to be calling all the shots. If these guys are really interested like they CLAIM to be, then what the hell is the problem. I am not desperate, but I am sick of trying to navigate everything. I am a mother of three and I can even manage to pull off some spare time if needed. What gives. Maybe i shouldn't put myself out there anymore. Guys please give some advice, what are you thinking, quit telling girls how beautiful they are if you really are not interested. I'm frustrated.

Are you new to online dating? It sounds like it.

You have to keep in mind that online dating enables one to connect/meet a vast audience. As a result, many have the attention span of a 2 yr old. Online dating for many is like "a kid in a candy store"; "so many flavors at one's disposal."

You should not be navigating a connection on your own. If a man (or woman for that matter) is genuinely interested it will be very evident. Don't settle, and take things with a grain of salt.

Keep in mind, this platform not only draws many people, but many people with different agendas.

Keep "fishing", and you'll find what you seek in time.

Online dating is NOT, I repeat NOT .. for the faint at  smokin

Treat it that way ... just an option, not a priority

online dating never was a serious way of dating it always was and will always continue to b a release, an escape from reality and a pipeline for flirting and saying things youd like to say to a woman in person

And then just when you've given up all hope, he comes charging along on his white horse.

My advice is don't rely mainly on a site to find what you are looking for, expand you social circles & meet new people that way. It's the internet, don't expect anything & you won't be disappointed!

um trust me I DONT, dont get me wrong, i meet guys at the store and beach too. It doesnt stop them from being gas-turds though. If ur not down for one night stand these days or first date sex- then the relationship is over. im all about compatibility too but if your personality sucks and you tell me you are so funny, hahaha, and you arent then we are not compatible, so who cares if we are compatible on the kitchen counter, er I mean the bed. i came here to see if actually talking to a guy might work- - - -alien territory for god's sakes.

Chick said "gas-turds" laugh laugh laugh I love it. Goof has a new word to incorporate.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine who knows her ropes used to say: "it's always the best ones who never get laid."

I think she's right, as I know a thing or two about being one of the best ones. bigsmile

LOL! Must remember that!

So in other words, online dating is just for flirtin around and killin time? I am new to being online dating. I was married for ten years and had the task of evading men. Now it's like they wont come near me with a ten foot pole. I wish! Murphy's law is steadily at work here. Well i am having a blast on these forums at least I get to talk to people above the age of 10. That alone is a reward all in it's own.

No it is not just for flirting. I've been online dating for 7 years. Met tons of guys IN person, dated a boatload, had a couple LTR's out of it all.

Just sayin if you are weak at heart it won't work for you. We all go through what you were mentioning. It's just life hon.

bluz ... honestly .... you have not been on this site long enough to be giving up ... unless you have no patience ... and with 3 kids I can understand thin patience but still ... you need to cultivate it a bit more.

there is no rush to date ...

its a mistake to think there is.

Me and patience DO NOT mix. Arrgh! I know what I want and I want it now. Although if there was any patience left in me----LOL who are we kidding.

Ah yes ... you are at that hormonal peak for women and wanting ... but still ... try to remember the story of the tortois and the hare.

slow and steady wins the race ... we all need to cultivate patience.

I know what I want too ... but its not there and being anxious does not help me to get it. Patience keeps me steady and helps a lot.
