Considering that all Muslims are not terrorists and the American people if mentally developed know this. A mosque in the area of 9/11 is insignificant to the disaster that happened. Now if you have a prejudice mind and consider all Muslims as terrorists then you would see an issue there.

However, I feel that what is rebuilt there should reflect the hearts and values of the American people. In other words, freedom and liberty for all. A testament to the ability to overcome adversity. A mosque hardly says that.

Americans encompass all religious backgrounds. It will show people that Americans are not ignorant prejudice folks who hold grudges against the non guilty. Muslims are not guilty of 9/11. Terrorists are guilty of 9/11 and terrorist come in all backgrounds, races, economic status, religious background, etc....

A mosque hardly says that. American Muslims do not exist? Of course love. We have a huge Muslim population in Canada as well, and they are peaceful hardworking people just like you or me. However, terrorists are another matter entirely. That is a perversion of the Muslim faith. 911 was an act of terrorism. The rebuild shouldnt be any religeous structure. Not a Mosque, not a Church. It should be a reflection of the American spirit. Not a religeous reflection of any sort.

Irrelevant. Sovereign nations have the right to live how they wish. Americans also live how we wish. Americans Muslims live here and practice their religion here. America is a free religious country, well mostly.

Whats next a statue of Liberty in Bagdad? official military action is a different than isolated terrorist attacks,, it was AMERICAN military that went in and occupied Bagdad it was EXTREMISTS who attacked on us soil, not the followers of Islam or their representatives,,
