I have never understood exactly what that means or why its on a wednesday. Is it hump day, because of humping/sex? Everyday is hump day as far as i am concerned if thats the case. And why wednesday? Educate me dammit!

I made you this lovely diagram in Paint.... Monday and Tuesday represent going up the hill (struggle - no weekend in sight) Wednesday is the middle of the week and signifies making it to the top of the hill aka HUMP (oh my is that the weekend I see peaking over the horizon) Thursday and Friday are then full speed down hill into the weekend But also I rather enjoy a good HUMP on a Wednesday (or any other day for that matter)
