my morning did not start good at all, my clock never went off so i was late to getting to my gymnastics this morning, but two girls thought it would be fun to get into another girl locker and take her things like clothes and tear them all up, i thought i would be nice and take her to my house and give her some of my clothes,

but the two girls told the coach that i did it and i was sent home because of it the coach call my dad and when i got home my dad freak out on me and he took me by the arm to my bed room and with out talking about any of this he took his belt off and spank me like some little kid and i am 19, but my question is what can i do for a bruise my butt is so red and sore can i do any thing for it,

any help would be great,,,

I am sorry your dad didnt take time to find out more information,,but from experience, behinds are pretty resilient

red is probably normal, it will most likely fade before the next morning comes,,,,

after i got spank i was like stung i put my hands on my butt and just lay there after a few mins i was a sleep from the crying and all, but i talk to my mother about what had happen and she talk to my dad about it, and one of the girls told the truth about what really happen and there both kick out of the gym and my couch call my dad and now i am no longer grounded at all so that is nice for me,

my dad is not a mean person at all he has all was been a great father to me, and he has not spanked me in years, i know he did on my birthday but that was just for fun on my birthday, but not for being in trouble like to day

Let me think about his...I assume you live with your father? I don't think he should have actually spanked you BUT I agree with the grounding part. Everyone here acts like JUST because you are 19 nothing can be done to you. You MIGHT be an adult BUT you still live in his home!!!
I am glad the truth came out in all of this, but you should be happy that your father cares enough about you to correct you!! IF you are not happy about the way he wants you to behave, I would say move out and support yourself!!

it is a little hard to move out when i don't have a job or a car or any place to go to live,

..first of all i think it was wrong that your father did not listen to what you had to say before imposing punishment...seems to me that if you are innocent than an apology is due..i am a single father and

i don't believe in hitting my kid and he is almost 19 now..i have raised him by myself for the last seven years..altho there are those that believe in "spare the rod spoil the child"..i do not..i like to think that we have some intelligence and there are more intelligent ways to get our point across than hitting someone,seems a bit archaic and ignorant to me ...

,,my son ..well lets just say he is respectful,kind and honest and i have been complimented by several people around town about how well mannered he is..not bad and adds some credit to the fact that it is better to love a child than to hit them..

..truth is i only spanked him once when he was smaller..and it really did hurt me more than it did him..

..i have to believe there are better ways than hitting our children to get them to behave..sometimes all it takes is just a little love and understanding..coupled with patience..i personally have enjoyed being a father..i only wish there were more men who felt this way...

..i think you and your father should sit down and have a heart to heart talk...

I have three children that I raised with them fully knowing they would get a spanking if they done something THEY KNEW WAS WRONG TO DO,,,NOW,,at 13 years old,,THEY never received another spanking after that age,,as THEY were to old to be spanked to have THAT lesson be there for them. At fourteen and on,,they received groundings and curfews to keep them GOOD at what they done wrong..
At eighteen YOUR DAD should know and realize that spanking you NOW,
is an insult to your person, in so many ways its unbelievable.
Your sense of identity, reasoning, woman-hood, pride.
All of these HE should KNOW,,you have inside you by now..
Your nineteen, YOU should be your own responsible young adult woman. BUT,,if your not,,,then spanking YOU is STILL NOT the answer to MAKING YOU MIND BETTER, thats just viewed as a weak parent, to use such reasoning as a THOUGHT to make you understand..
It might be that your NOT really 19 here? And thats why HE felt the thoughts to do THIS? You would not be the first young person to ask questions that should already be an inside answer to your self,wink..and thats OK to, if your not. But it would make your dad look a bit out there,,, I hope you find your self responsable and your own person soon, so you won't have to make your dad sad.
