Basically been alone all my life. Want companionship and finally meet someone who will love me and accept me. So, you don't like being alone. I think a lot of people feel that way. I am kind of different in that I do enjoy my alone time more than most. I think I'm a little too independent. ![]() I enjoy my alone time too. I guess I miss companionship that is ready and available when I am.... ![]() When you get older you get use to being alone and sort of grow into it. I would like to be alone with someone though.... |

I suppose that in a certain way I'm really just hoping that I find someone who I really enjoy both talking to and having sex with.

looking for? Why do you want to be in a relationship? Is it the companionship? Sex? Security? Someone to do stuff with? Why would you rather be in a relationship than be single? I'm just looking for a Klondike Bar. No, but ice cream would be cool. I'm fine either way, all the failed relationships and only one common denominator would mean I'm a failure in every aspect of being in a relationship. So I just do what I do and if someone appreciates it enough maybe something will happen. *smile* Yeah, I've heard that saying about failed relationships and common denominator and I'm not buying it. Relationships never fail. They just end. Sometimes they end easily and sometimes they end with a lot of pain. And, with each relationship you learn more about yourself and others and what's really important. It's all about growing and evolving. Not failure. |

looking for? Why do you want to be in a relationship? Is it the companionship? Sex? Security? Someone to do stuff with? Why would you rather be in a relationship than be single? Hi Ruth! ![]() I prefer being single because my life is in order. I have my career, I’m almost done with my master’s and I have focus for the future. I'm silly busy and I don't crave attention or companionship. I have my friends, work and school. ENOUGH! ![]() Its complicated being in a relationship and I have little to no tolerance for other people’s crap. I know that sounds harsh but at least I don’t play head games and lead anyone on. As I said in another thread, it would take someone perfectly matched for me to lure me from my life now. I love dating; no commitment, no emotional ties or the need to share life. I haven’t been on a 3rd or 4th date with the same guy in a year. I like just letting things run their course. I only date guys who are likeminded. I don't always have sex with guys I date either. If I share my body with a guy he has to be more than a one-date-dude. ![]() You're an awesome, lady, Melody. ![]() I can't date casually, but being in a relationship is very complicated. When I find a guy I connect with and it's not complicated I guess I will know I found the right one. |

Success was never brought about by ending, they all took failure to get there. I rather like 'failed' it puts more of an emphasis on it than 'end.' And I can always buy ice cream. |

If I wouldn't have ended my marriage for the reasons I did..I wouldn't be who I am today...and I'm a success in the way that lines up with the reasons I left. And, yes vanilla bean ice cream makes everything better... |

looking for? Why do you want to be in a relationship? Is it the companionship? Sex? Security? Someone to do stuff with? Why would you rather be in a relationship than be single? Im just interested in friends for now. I've never been married, and if I ever do get married, I wanna make damm sure it's going to last. I've had too many GF's over the years, and it's shown me how gullible I can be. Knowing what I know now, im pretty sure i'll know when i've met the right lady. Im just enjoying having friends for now. If it happens, thats wonderful, but if it doesn't, thats ok too. I have fun everyday, and I love my life ![]() |

looking for? Why do you want to be in a relationship? Is it the companionship? Sex? Security? Someone to do stuff with? Why would you rather be in a relationship than be single? I want the whole package, companionship, intimacy(sex), security, stability. I can achieve security and stability alone and be content. but it would be WONDERFUL to have that companionship and intimacy too. |
