I like having time to myself just fine, but enjoy the things other folks mention too. I sure dont wanna be with someone simply to be with anyone. I hope thats not too common. ick. I agree,, part of the reason I am still alone. I would rather be alright alone, than miserable with the wrong person. |

although freedom is great... but I think our lives always seem to be off balance when we are alone. I think a Man alone is incomplete until he's with a woman and vise versa. from my prospective what I seek in a female, is a best friend, a person that I can talk to and be my self, a partner in the good and the bad, a person who can comfort me when time it tough. a person who make my best part of my day is when I see her. of course Sex and romance are very important too. I don't agree that men or women are not complete without the other. I certainly am a complete person. When meeting new men, I want them to be complete as well. Not to feel that they are incomplete until they find someone to be with, therefor they have to be in a relationship. you know if Sex is what we are after, Sex is easy to get, but there is much more to it than that,during college throughout my 20s, I would bounce a club to another from a woman to another, i got all the sex I wanted and more, but after time it became boring and empty, something was missing. If you really think life is one dimensional when you are single then you might consider developing other interests. I always hear people say, "Looking for someone to complete me." We should be complete ALONE and being in a relationship will compliment another person's life - not complete them. I would never rely on another human being to complete me or add dimension to my life. I think people get lost in relationship and lose their identity. I completely agree about random sex being empty!

I know that as a man of 53 I feel I am fully complete as that man, yet, when looking at life and expression, or doing, anything,, If its always through experiencing someone new,,then THAT to me get very old,,and it just not my choice as to feeling, sharing, and enjoyng lifes BEST, partnership in my mind..Which is that total countability to both knowing they would die for their other and they also would stand by them through any issues of life.. And that commitment,,,to each other,,,,is what (in my head) feels my best!!! Because as I have dated and to me THAT gets old,,,lol,lol so its all in our viewing and past living we had,,,wink,well to me anyway... |

It's one thing regarding what I'm looking for, it's another if there is actually anyone who is looking for me and I am being the actual choice they have been looking for all along. Because I can be looking for someone and there can be millions of choices, but I wonder If I'm actually a choice for anyone. That's what matters.

It's one thing regarding what I'm looking for, it's another if there is actually anyone who is looking for me and I am being the actual choice they have been looking for all along. Because I can be looking for someone and there can be millions of choices, but I wonder If I'm actually a choice for anyone. That's what matters. Perfectly stated.

What does Goof want? What is he looking for? Hmmmmmm. I bet alot of people wonder this. Cause it appears that most think I don't take anything seriously. Well.....here goes.
I want a woman who makes me stop dead in my tracks everytime I see her. I want that one woman who is who she is, and doesn't pretend to be someone else just for my sake. She will get my humor, will not agree with me unless she thinks the same way. She won't argue with me just to have a flippin argument. She will feel ten times better when she sees me after a long day at work. She will laugh at something stupid I will do (cause I know I will do stupid stuff) But most of all.....I want a woman who flat out discovers that after a couple of dates that she wants to be with me. Only me. And that hopefully we will mesh our lives together for quite a long time. Until I find that, I am happy with being single. You have to make the most out of life. And single or not, you have to enjoy it. Life would be better with a woman like I described. But until the day I meet her, I am happy being a single Goof. |

I think it's a good thing to just get out of us time to time and examine ourselves if we are "desirable". How to do that is a skill and requires honest evaluation of oneself. Anyone can just write up or take notes what you do and what you say and sort of judge it. The best judge is yourself. If you don't like what you see, it's most likely others won't like it either. Things start to improve when someone likes what he or she sees in the mirror as well as re-reading old mails is also a good way of seeing what needs to be worked on. Also re evaluating what I have said to others or how I reacted in certain situations and then try to find the trouble areas and work on them. Choosing a successful person as a role model also helps, seeing how he or she reacts and deals with stuff and being successful doing so can easily pinpoint our own problems. |
