I am aware these things are real. I am aware there are single parent and dual parent and same sex and opposite sex homes where neglect occurs, I am aware children are abandoned and adopted and fostered. I am aware of all these UNFORTUNATE realities, but none of them change my opinion that we dont need to go further than supporting the union which brings forth these children and their potential and that we need to get BACK to promoting it in a big way,,,

I didn't mean to imply that you would be in denial.flowerforyou

Considering that most homophobia is based on an unsubstantiated fear that is perpetrated mostly from the religious, who we know are not coming from facts at all.

People are born either heterosexual, homosexual or bi.

So there will always be babies being made.

I really don't think anyone is born a certain way, we all have choices to make as we grow. To say we're born any one way is kinda using that as a crutch to me.

Unless you yourself have experienced the things that we do as we are growing up and discovering who we are, you really cannot possess an educated opinion on that, and therefore should not try.

I can't live your lives you're right, but we all have choices to make. We are not defined by feelings alone.

I didn't CHOOSE to be alienated by many of my family and most of my friends.

I didn't CHOOSE to put myself at risk for hate crimes.

I didn't CHOOSE to be denied the rights that other US citizens have.

You can't look at a certain female and automatically CHOOSE to be attracted to her. Attraction happens on a cellular and chemical level, and feelings aren't even HALF of it. You can love someone and not be attracted to them.

Studies, actual scientific studies, have shown homosexuality to be far more than a choice to rebel, as you seem to think it is.

I would agree with you if people weren't born gay or born attracted to the same sex. It does present itself in children before they can make choices in that area.

And you speak of feelings as if they are something bad and we should not be defined by them.

We are all defined by our feelings every single day every minute of every day. We don't even realize when we are reacting to our feelings because it happens so much in our daily lives.

We still have the choice to act or not act though in the end. No one is forcing us in one direction or the other.

I don't trust studies like those, more then likely there is a bias.

No you didn't choose those things, and no you can't choose to be attracted to someone. HOWEVER, you can choose how you react. That's the difference. To have thoughts is one thing, to act on them is different.

Since you do not believe the scientific information, showing your personal bias, you need to just say what you mean instead of what you keep trying to dance around.

So by your logic, it is better for people to lie about who they really are and be miserable because they can never truly be themselves.

Here we go again blaming Christianity for yet another blow to gay marriage.Yet in every single court case(that the gays always lose)Christianity is never mentioned and religion is never mentioned. So why you keep blaming Christianity over and over and over and over again for a issue that keeps going to court and in every case the reason for denying marriage is something totally unrelated to Christianity.

I have also been keeping up on the news of this issue and the main reason the judge didn't want to grant homosexuals marriage rights is because marriage isn't legal until you have sex with the person you are marriage to.The judge said from that standpoint two women obviously couldn't have sex with each other to make marriage official and legal and two men having anal sex really didn't qualify either.

Homosexuality is not a personal choice. It is a characteristic born into each of us.

How do you know you are not gay or bi?

You do not feel sexually aroused by a person of the same sex.

There has never been a shred of evidence that anyone was every born gay.I urge anyone who believes this non sense to post facts from some type of source we can take seriously.

I'm sensing some anger and frustration.
But you don't have to act on those feelings.
