I know I have a strong personality (more so in real life) and that can be a good thing and sometimes a bad thing.

Is a strong personality intimidating?

IMO it can be but I don't see that as a bad thing. Knowing who you are and not deviating from that is a positive thing in my book.

depends on the person. Some are and some are not

Shshsh must be another one of those Texas Thangs again.......to me it is all good as long as one does not think the world evolves around them..... Nothing wrong with being strong willed at times someone has to step up to the plate and take charge.....

I tend to be intimidating... Hmmmmmm.... maybe it's because I have a strong personality.

I suppose that would depend on the definition of strong personality... if you mean overbearing and oppressive, then I don't much care for that. If you mean a person who is confident and knows themselves well, then that is the first thing I look for in someone I'd like to get to know.

In general that is usually the first thing men say they are attracted to with me...my personality. I always used to take it as a bad thing...you know the 'ole..."Wanna go out with my cousin? Is she good looking? Well no but she has a great personality!"

Now that I am older though...I appreciate it. Although just once I wouldn't mind someone telling me they are only with me for my looks!

which raises a question my head.. do you suppose if one doesn't have confidence them self, they can misinterpret confidence for controlling, overbearing or oppressive?

I'm told I can be intimidating at times but I really do warm up to people quickly. Just need a little bit of time to get a feel for people before I let them into my little bubble. If they are a jerk or completely obnoxious then they just aren't getting in at all.

I don't think a strong personality is all that bad.. As long as you don't walk around like your **** don't stink.. I personally am super shy until I get to know the person then I am simply just AWESOME! rofl

Now shy people I find a bit intimdating. LOL, not really sure why. I suppose it's because it's harder for me to read them. If they're nervous or uncomfortable, or I get that sense, then it can also make me feel a little nervous or uncomfortable.
