Topic: The ultimate purpose in life. | |

Think of something that makes you happy. Tell me why you can't be happy. Two very good questions. I really dig your hat........ |

I have to agree with some of the others here the ultimate goal is achieving being happy with where and whom you are and learning to enjoying life no matter how much one has or how little..... material things do not make you happy....

If you ask someone what they want..they will rattle off numerous things. A new house, more money, true love, a healthy body, happy kids, a vacation, a new puppy...etc. Ultimately if you keep asking questions it will be narrowed down to..because "it will make me happy."

Pause for a second and think. You pay your rent with money, if it wasn;t for money you wouldn't eat. Your car, yeah that's right guess what... money pays for all of that. Western Culture has had it SO good for SO long we tend to take the small things for granted. If I took away your house, food, and car you'd be an unhappy person... That is unless you found "true love aka (a sugardaddy to pay for it all)
You're only foolin' yourself! ... |

It is not money that makes you happy, it is what money can buy that makes you happy.
Money itself is only paper. If you lived on a deserted island and nobody ever found you, would you be happy with a big box of money? I doubt it because there is nothing to buy with it. |

That all depends... does a brown hair split wider than a blonde hair??? |

While you're out in "la la" land imagining far off deserted desert islands, I'll be here in reality living a REAL life void of delusional situations. |

I see it went right over your head. p.s. You didn't further your point, you just demonstrated your "superior" intelligence. |

People waste their lives looking for happiness.
If I just had this, I'd be happy. If I could just pass this class, I'd be happy. If I could only find true love, I'd be happy. If I could reach nirvana, I'd be happy. And on and on. They forget to breath. They forget what it's like to taste a really good apple. They are so focused on finding happiness they forget to live. Life is to live. Happiness is a byproduct. |

Now here is the biggest secret of all. If you are wondering what your "purpose" is in this life, I will tell you. It is to find something to do that makes you happy. That is your ultimate and only purpose. Happiness is your purpose. Be happy. That is your purpose. It is so very simple. Yet most people don't have a clue how to be happy or know how to pursue happiness. happiness is indeed important,,,,I wouldnt suggest to all people that doing whatever makes them happy should be their purpose though(people are happy doing alot of deviant things ) for me , purpose, relates to how something impacts a greater something the purpose of a teacher is to teach the purpose of a parent is to guide and love as a christian, my purpose is to learn about and glorify God as a human, my purpose is to be an example to other humans |

Awww well heck those are just the things in life everyone wants.........and too a point those things will make one happy......but to truly smile from within that comes from seeing things in life that happens when others are happy as well. |
