SPEED DATING............
Usually speed dating sessions are taken place at a cool fun bars. Arranged with tables for two, ready for these multiple mini dates sessions. Each participant is seated in front of his date and when the host is blowing the whistle it is the signal it is time to move on to the next date. It goes on and on until you finish all your mini dates. When you get home, you input the codes names of the partners you liked into the online dating system, you get a second chance to see their pictures and refresh your memory. After each participant inputted his selections the system makes the final matching of the preferences of all participants. Hopefully, at the end of this computerized process you get a list of potential dates you liked and like wise were interested in you. Was just wondering who all has heard about this and has anyone ever tried it before? Or thought of trying it. Have read were they are saying it is getting very popular in some area's. Tell us your views on this........ |

I can get along with almost anyone who isn't a complete moron or completely full of themselves. With that being said, yes I think it's something I could do, but doubt I would take it seriously enough to gain anything from the experience. I've never heard of anyone actually getting a decent date out of it.

My version of speed dating would take place at a go-kart track where you get to run into the person's car who you think is the cutest... then the 2 of you go for a "pit-stop" and have a drink and then go get back in your go-karts
Edit: Changed my mind, you have to be able to catch the person in their go-kart to be able to take a pit stop with them.... ahh yes this plan is coming along nicely... LOL |

i couldn't do it.
i need time in order for any attraction to build. while there might be instant comfortable rapport, there's usually not any physical attraction until my interest level begins to grow. it'd be too easy to dismiss someone as potential dating material. besides that, i'd feel like i was on display at the zoo. |

I have heard about it, I also personally wouldn't be a good choice for someone out of a quickie session like that. I take a bit longer to form an opinion, and make up my mind. I would be just thinking of the next thing to talk about and that blasted whistle would go off. Nope not for me....

Wouldn't work for because I'm into slow dating, not speed dating.

I've seen this on movies and frankly, it looks like a speed interview...or a pop quiz in High School. OMG, the pressure! No thanks...I'd be lucky to string 3 words together that weren't complete idiocy! (That's tough enough under normal circumstances, ya know?)

I think most guys have the ability of holding my attention for about 5 minutes, before I zone out. I can't help it. Blame it on the A.D.D. ha ha. So speed dating would be great, at least I would not get bored. I mean honestly does it take more than 5 minutes to decide if you want to persue the new aquaintance any further?
First 60 seconds: *mmmhh he smells sexy, looks sexy, has nice teeth and nice hands, firm handshake, his eyes are magnifying and sincere..or not.* Next 60 seconds to 3 minutes: *Wow he has a great sense of humor and shares some of the same interests as I do... or not.* The last minute *ok, he's not a psycho, and seems sincere.* Done deal. He'll get a call, e-mail text or whatever...lol Yay, to Speed dating! PS Never done it before, but I think its a great idea. |

For me the attraction is immediate or not at all. BUT .. I totally agree about the caged animal part. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK |

I think I would like it as much as speed Scrabble. I mean I like the idea of dating and playing Scrabble but I wouldn't like to be rushed. I got married one time because I was rushed. Thought I was doing the right thing at the time. When I came to I wasn't single any more and was living with this stranger.
