Blood Money In the upcoming movie The Box a young couple receives a mysterious wooden box with a note attached to it. The note promises to bestow $1 million dollars upon pressing a button on the box, however, the catch is that it will simultaneously cause the death of a random person in the world, someone they don't know. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................ If this was presented to you what would you do? Would you press the button and take your chances or walk away due to the consequences? |

I would think it was a joke and if I pushed the button I'd get zapped or something stupid.
And I'd take the little wooden box with me just in case someone else was tempted. |

If it were real....i don't think i could either...but how many people will hypothetically say that. if ACTUALLY shown THAT box and the money....who would look both ways and nonchalantly reach their hand in that box?

I couldnt because just a 1% chance it might be true is not acceptable to me!!

My main problem is if I see a button I have to push it. Especially big red ones with warning signs that say not to.

If this was presented to you what would you do? Would you press the button and take your chances or walk away due to the consequences? Are you familiar with the Curse of Salomon? It goes like this, in the original story of Aladdin and the Lamp the Genie of the Lamp was bound by a curse. he would grant your wish but he also assured the person making the wish that they would suffer for it. NOW... You press the button any YOU are chosen at "random' (because frankly I wouldn't want to give anyone that mean the money anyways). Oh my! |

Honestly I could not push that button just the thought of taken another life for such a senseless reason. Now if it came down to that person was doing me or my family harm then that would be a different story..........

No, I would not press the button. This story was originally aired in the second generation (of 3) of the Twillight Zone way back in the 80s.
They were told that if they pushed the button they would receive a fortune in cash; but someone who they absolutely positively did not know would die as a result. In that episode the lady and her husband pushed the button and got the money. The next day the box was picked up and the cash dropped off; they were told that the box would be given to someone who absolutely positively would did not know them. |
