Possibly the gentleman evolved into the decent dude I agree, and for the record I truly believe that the decent dude has the right to be a gentlemen if he wishes. So, to all of you ladies who bashed us for opening doors for you and allowing you to walk in first because we simply believe that is the way it should be, I say this. "We are here!! Nice guys, Decent dudes, and Gentlemen alike, here we stand our hearts open and our souls burning with passion. Where are all the ladies?" |

No one bashed you for opening doors, we just said it wasn't necessary. If someone does something for me that I don't need and didn't ask for, simply because they wanted to do it, that's on them. I don't see anything wrong with opening a door for someone, I just don't consider it admirable, as if you've hung the moon or something. You opened the door because you wanted to, and because you were taught to. Now if you go out and find the cure for cancer or AIDS and choose to share it with the world, I'll definitely applaud you. But opening a door isn't exactly on that level.
