i think its kind of amazing. republicans don't mind sending kids to war. but don't like abortion. buy the way i here conservatives say its murder. but according to highest court in the land. its not murder. its a choice.

I also think it odd, when people who value life enough to oppose abortion support the death penalty or war. I hear it explained, usually, in terms of who 'deserves' life, always seems a pompous argument to me,,,but to each their own |

Except , when we pay taxes, and they go to things like education or transportation infrastructure, there is no way to go through individual by individual and make sure that those who are illegally here or those who are here and 'sitting' at home arent utilizing those roads or that their kids arent utilizing the educational system. There just is no way to ensure only those 'we feel' deserve americas privileges receive them, but I would rather bring food to a room full of needy people, knowing some of them might already have food, than to not bring ANYTHING to anyone. People can't just sit at home and get benefits anyway so that is an irrelevant argument to have. Illegals don't get any benefits from the government either so that is also an irrelevant argument to have too. ******** |

Umm last time I checked we continue to be at war simply to help the stupid Iraqi government get into check. I'm against that!  And we are killing to defend ourselves(soldiers) not to cause tyrany. Killing doesn't solve anything but standing there being a target to help a foreign government is UNACCEPTABLE. Huh? What part of that do you not understand? I think it is very explainatory? |

i do agree with death penalty. course being a man not my choice on abortion. its your sperm,, your offspring,, so I disagree. I dont agree when a child enters the world that society should deem full responsibility on me as mother and I likewise dont agree that while the child is in the womb society should deem full privileges to me as the mother either. It takes two,, from beginning to end. |

We Americans were willing to spend trillions of dollars to go to (illegal)war and kill millions of innocent people but we are unwilling to spend any money to save those of us who have no healthcare. How can that be? What does that say about us? Pssst. Hey....guess what.... The Dems voted FOR the war too. Funny how you all seem to keep forgetting that fact. And what " millions " of innocent people are you referring to??? Another little " embarrassing " fact for you. You do realize, do you not, that this bill doesn't cover everyone?? It actually covers less than 1/10th of the population. You do realize, do you not, that by requiring people to buy health insurance, that the government has just handed the insurance companies a HUGE gift?? Do you really think that this bill is going to lower health care costs?? Do you really think it's going to lower the price of insurance?? You do realize, do you not, that the " fines " involved are still far less than what the yearly cost of insurance is...meaning that anyone with any fiscal sense at all is going to just go ahead and pay the fine if they don't think they need the insurance?? |

Considering that the NEXT item on the Dems agenda is immigration " reform " ( read : amnesty. well, I didnt actually get a chance to VOTE on the war...
If the bill covers those who NEED it,, that is enough for me, however small or big a number that is deemed to be seems like there would be more insurance lobbyists working to get the bill passed if they consider it such a gift The presidents goals of keeping those with conditions from being kept from affordable healthcare, or from being dropped from affordable healthcare are goals I support whole heartedly. Of course, most americans have insurance and perhaps that is why they so oppose any change that isnt 'perfect' from the beginning. But for those who are struggling to afford the healthcare they need, some thirty odd million, this bill is long overdue,,,,,just my opinion though |

WELL WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE AGAIN .soldiers make a choice to go or not to go . babys don't they can't even pick there scummy miserable parents . what I don't agree with is people who don't think enought of our country to go in the military but sit around and rank on it . we need a law here where we can club a person for not supporting our soldiers when they are fighting people who have attacted our country ...what good are they to any one or the country . |

What does that say about us? 1) the military-industrial-government complex makes war profitable for government and industry cronies 2)People don't spend money on other people's health care for the same reason they don't spend money on other people's cars. There is no incentive to do so. 3) it says about "us"-"we" have an intuitive understanding of how to best spend our money, and the government is incompetent at everything it does. 'nuff said. 1 - Quit having war...the last two were unnecessary so let's not let the GOP back in...they like war. 2 - We already spend on "other people's health"...46 million Americans don't have HC...therefore many that need treatment go to the hospitals which drive up OUR premiums 3 - I don't like "gubberment" either but I pay taxes and expect services...I expect them to keep us safe and keep the lights on. The "less gubberment" I expect is on social issues. Stay out of my bedroom and if I want to smoke a joint with a $500 hooker that's my business. |
