However there is still a bigger misconception on the male side that we can't be trusted

And you know this how, OP? Have you conducted a survey or something? I'm not trying to be rude, I just want to know how you can say that all women feel a certain way about all men, unless you have proof/documentation?

I don't mistrust all men.. I give anyone enough rope to hang themselves... If they choose to make their own noose then well uh, I only offered the tools and watched what they did with them...

I can only speak from the other side....But I see the mistrust from men because of past relationships. Of course not all men are this way. But maybe the OP only sees the women because that is what he is looking for. but my point at the beginning is that it seems thinking women think this way about men would bring the past into the new relationships

Most women think this and it is a fact in most traditions, which I have uncovered in religious studies, sociology and psychology as well..:)

As for me, I will try to give a guy the option to show me that he is nice, if they do something to remind me of the past, I will relive all that drama in my head, which can make this turn for the bad. I am working on changing MY outlook. We all have someone out there, just have not meet them yet, so in the meantime enjoy who you do meet and learn soemthing from them.

I don't mistrust all men. I've never met all men. I've only dealt with a few men in my life, and each circumstance was different, they all went to **** for different reasons, some were my fault, some were their fault. The only person I really distrust is myself.

I'll explain it in detail. It's because a lot of us men, ruff, ruff, ruff, and ruff. We also do a lot of, sniff, sniff, snifty-sniff, along with a lot of humpity-hump and ride the leg.
