Topic: How often do you... | |

Not a big change person. At least in my personal life. If things are decorated a certain way, I'll probably want it to stay that way.

I am careful with what I buy and where to put it afterward. I guess I'm more boring because once it's placed, it stays....for years. The only time I move furniture is to accommodate guests or the Christmas tree. Afterward, the furniture goes back into the same place.

I am bad at this.. I tend to get bored with how things are set up so I tend to move things around at least 2 times a month, some times more..

For some reason I just don't like it the same way all the time so I rearrange furniture, change pictures, change decorations, etc. I just finished painting my living room again.....8th time in 9 years. I think this time I like the color enough to leave it for a couple years.

Something is always happening. I just spent today peeling the old wallpaper off one of the bathrooms and will be putting up new stuff in the next day or two. Went to the paintable wallpaper, so that will be easier for the next change.
Roughly there's a fresh going over on a rotating three year basis. The outside of the house is getting a fresh coat this fall. Just depends on the mood and the money. |

I use to change everything every couple of months or so. I would gather things up and have a yard sale each summer and just go get new. The last year or two I have settled down about it..I'm more content now and don't feel the need to change it up so much.

The last year or two I have settled down about it..I'm more content now and don't feel the need to change it up so much. I need to have a garage sale. I've got a 10X12 storage shed, that I could make into an 8X12 if I could get rid of half the stuff in there. Everyone is using it as a temp storage place, and it's taking up my space. I have 31 plastic 54-57 qt containers of books. Those aren't going anywhere, but it would give me a bit more room to access them, since I have no room at home. Plastic containers rock! So much nicer then cardboard boxes. And in fairness, this storage shed place is well built, and I've had no leaks, mold or mildew problems. Mostly bugs, but the little lizards keep them ate. LOL |

I've never been one to keep stuff piled up but I have gotten even less of a hoarder the last few years. My motto is..If it isn't beautiful (which can mean many things to people) or useful I don't need it. I'm pretty content with the basics and the things I find beautiful or useful.

redocarate your house? I don't mean buying new furniture and stuff. I mean change the wall hangings and furniture to different spots, or completely switch your rooms around. My kid seems to think I'm deranged. I get sick of looking at the same atmosphere so I move things around quite often. It's said that people don't do well with change but I seem to revel in it. So do you redecorate often or are you a creature of habit and prefer things to stay where they are? I do this so often that it would suck if my partner (if I had one) was visually challenged he'd hate me. |
