Move to WV, you can take your pick of any non-racist white woman you want.

Nothing more than personal preferences. Yep, stop taking petty things so personal and find someone else. |

You really can,t blame the south...i,m in the south, i have more problems dating within my own race...a black woman with dreads@feckles...swinging hips...they only find me sexual, but for their mate no way...so if i want a real date and good conversation,i have limited choices and i do date outside my race...

Yeah, pretty much. It's a rarity to see a black woman with a black man. I think they have to import them. Or turn gay.

Don't believe it has anything to do with the South.
I have encountered more racism in the Midwest and some states to the North than I ever have in the South. In my experience it doesn't matter where you live. Racism is alive and well just about anywhere these days. Sad but true! |

Btw, I think it's rather dumb to date someone just because they're a certain race. It's one thing if you happen to mesh well with someone and they just happen to be a different race. But to actually go out and say, the only reason I'm dating this person is because they're (blank) all I can say is ew.

I'm blackman who lives in the south why so many of us are hung up on not dating outsides our races ?????? It could be staying where you feel comfortable. For example, up until my twenties, I wouldnt have thought of being with anyone who wasnt black. Black people are who I grew up loving and having love me, so I just didnt desire to look any further. There is also stigma in different communities about being in interracial relationships which may deter people. Good news is, noone is a stagnant soul, we live and learn and change....even our personal tastes. I learned and expanded my options to include more than black men. I think it is kind of natural to want to date people who resemble your family and community,,I dont find it nearly as sad as REFUSING to date those who do though. I have known both whites and blacks who REFUSE to date other whites or blacks,,,,very interesting to me in a sad way. |

love is an array of colors, too bad we have to segregate it to our own fancy.....
funny thing is, if you trace your family tree all the way back you'll discover that we are all related somewhere down the line so therefore the only color that should matter should be on the inside.....people are idiots, life is easy, it's us who complicate it with our false political correctness |

it's a psychological thing. One can only presume that so many years of persecution have taken it's toll and has subconsciously made many men of colour believe that dating a woman that is not of their same race makes them feel superior...

Interesting view point. I honestly feel that it comes down to the fact that "race" is still an issue in our country. Oh, we have come a long way from where we were, but make no mistake about it. Racism exists, and while interracial dating has become "accepted" (to some extent), many people of all races still frown upon it. It is when people become bold enough, or love someone enough that is not of their race that they will take the chance, the criticism, the way that people will judge them. Yes folks...all of this s**t still exists in today's world. And it isn't all white vs. black, or black vs. hispanic. It's all races.
