Absolutely, yes! Along with Dick Dale & Chuck Berry, these guys were the pioneers especially Les. He explored some the styles that were employed by other that followed, plus he invented some of the plug-ins so prevalent later on.

Well they have a point but he was very sharp earlier on, it was during Physical Graffitti that I noticed he'd lost his edge tho~ that is a great recording..and still, at one time he was one of the best hard rock guitarists around. He deserves the accolades.

It saddens me that Nuno Bettencourt is never mentioned in these lists of greatest guitar players. He is an astonishing player. Listen to Extreme's "Play With Me" if you require proof!
