to blame Obama and the Dems for the mess in this country now, right?

They do realize that the mess left from before them cannot be fixed in one year, right?

I just have to believe that they are smart enough to know these things.

OBAMA IS THE ANTICHRIST!

There's the answer to your question. The teabag party. Pay no mind to them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

All the Republicans have to do is convince the sheeple that they have a better idea, even if they really don't. All they need to do is convince the sheeple that what the Dems are doing isn't working.

It's not going to be all that difficult considering that the general population hasn't really seen any progress since the Dems took the reins.

Double digit unemployment. Infinitesimal economic growth. The threat of higher and higher taxes.

People are just not seeing the Hope and Change that Barak Obama promised them.

One thing you all need to keep in mind is that this is the era of instant gratification. It doesn't matter if what Obama ( actually..the Senate and Congress ) does is SLOWLY working. People are not seeing new jobs being created.

If the republicans promise people that they'll go back to work, chances are that the people will vote for them.

If the republicans' better idea has anything to do with Sarah Palin, it's going to make me really wonder about people if they go along with it. Just seeing the way some people seem to worship her right now is insane. I don't get it at all, I guess since I can't relate to her at all.

You aren't the only one who doesn't understand it...lol

I think a part of it is that, like normal people, she isn't " polished " and makes mistakes just like everyone else.

She isn't the typical " slick " politician.

Obama was smart enough to entangle himself with the bank cartel that rules America now.

JP Morgan just said, they earned a record profit in the 4th quarter. 3.3 billion.

They are pretty much raping the country, while everyone else go broke.

What I mean is that I don't see her as being just like everyone else. She's not like my neighbors, family, friends, anyone I know, or me. If she were like anyone I knew, perhaps I could relate a bit more, but she's not.

Year two of Obama...Still nothing accomplished but blame Bush.
Year three of Obama...Still nothing accomplished but blame Bush.
Year four of Obama...Still hothing accomplished but blame Bush.

Considering the Democrats have had a supermajority for years now the Americans should be smart enough to figure out who is responsible for the mess we are in today.Democrats and Obama.

Correction. The Congress has been a democratic majority since 2006.

That's 4 years.

I'm completely independent, so I'm willing to say that the left-right paradigm, which keeps the population in a dead lock continues, while for me, it's just another confirmation how it doesn't matter which side is in control, the direction never changes anyway.

But NOT a filibuster proof majority until 2008...and the GOP have only had an obsructionist agenda for political gain so not only are they part of what got us in this mess but continue to try to block reforms to get us out of this mess...

but aren't the Democrats trying to block the Republicans regarding the health care bill? Not letting them into the discussions or anything?

and the Democrats have had the power in congress for 4 years. May not be by a huge majority....but a majority nonetheless and enough to get what they want passed if they wanted to

It's the GOP that do no want to engage in productive HC reform's talks and have done everything to oppose any reform...they do not represent their constituents, they work for BIG ins and pharma and also oppose for political gains...the "I want President Obama to fail" thing.

...and look up "filibuster"...they did not have the vote to get what they wanted through until 2008 and then had to deal with Bluedog DEMS.

Thanks

If only it were so easy to place the blame for problems on whoever happens to be the majority at the time,,,,,our politicians are supposed to look after our interests, regardless of political affiliation. Whatever messes or progress we have in this country, the responsibility should be EQUALLY shared by those with the power to do something about it, otherwise what would be the point,,,,,

think about it,,,when you only have two major parties, the minority party could ALWAYS blame the majority when things didnt get done and when things did get done, they could always flip it and pat themselves on the back for 'pushing it through'.....NOPE they ALL are responsible. If they cant work together they shouldnt be there.

That's what I allways hear people say.
What about the fund raiser for Martha Coakley?

" In response, an army of lobbyists for drug companies, health insurance companies, and hospitals has teamed up to throw a high-dollar Capitol Hill fundraiser for Coakley Tuesday night".

Ok I'm not from America but from what I can see the republicans and democrats are two sides of the same coin. Both following a capitalist agenda for the benifit of big business and reducing the people to mere comodities to be bought for as low a price as possable. At least until the technology comes along to replace you or it becomes more profitable for them to take their business to China or india where the workers are cheaper. As in England the system stinks no matter who's in charge but we don't have a great deal of choice but to go along with it.
