Alabama actually has some beach front property Yep...down around Mobile..., and the gulf coast as well. I spent some time out in Colorado, Springs (about 3 years), but it's hard for me to wrap my head around your state, with what I picture a lot of desert land. There is so much green here in AL...guess it just depends on what your used to being around. Yes I have been on the coast in Alabama on the way to Florida. Southern AZ is desert but in Northern AZ you will see the green and its COLD in the winter too. I live in the southern part and I love the desert but would love some beach front property in California Yea...I see ya with them sunglasses on ...uh huh! I have a friend, that lives in AZ...and they are always taking pictures of the plants and animals, and snakes! The snake is my biggest fear...I would have a hard time enjoying myself there, for looking out for snakes around....! But we have snakes here as well...but just something about desert land, and snakes....! I am afraid of the snakes too, I live in the city so do not have to worry until I get out aways then I start watching for them. That just seems like it would be too much stress on a person! At least it would for me! But, if you stop and think about it...we have an abundance of them here too! Plus some that y'all don't have! I guess your used to it by now...just be careful! |

Normally I avoid all dating sites...but the person who created this one has been one of my favourite web designers for a while now. I think he is the only designer who ever made a Web 2.0 site that was not only NOT ugly, but really DOES look fabulous. All his sites do. I also appreciated that this is free. That the "premium" or "pro" or whatever version isn't something you need to subscribe to or the site totally becomes worthless. I put profiles up 3 years ago on about 3 other sites and all of them were that way. Wastes of time suck. But this is cool. Please excuse me, for a moment, though, I have a rant that needs screeding... Why is it that everyone seems to always put exactly the same things on their profiles? For one thing why are people's lists of interests always padded with lots and lots of outdoorsish stuff...always there's this over-representation of sports and exercise activities. I thought at first maybe it was because the user had a mindset of suggesting activities that could be done on a date, but somehow, I think perhaps it's more immediate a reason that the user wants to slip a bit of a hint of "see...I'm less likely to be flabby, I'm into exercise!" But that's not all. What in the Sam Hill is it with the "walks on the beach" thing? Attention: The Clue Train is now boarding...Get your ticket ready please... Let's quit it with putting "I like taking long walks on the beach" on your profiles. It's just a stupid attempt to look romantic. It doesn't. All it tells me that you couldn't be bothered to take five minutes to think of something you actually do regularly and are known to enjoy...rather than cribbing from that annoying "Pina Colada" song. It says nothing...you might as well put "I like breathing and drinking water" on there. Who doesn't like to take walks on the beach? Assume that this is a "given" and move on... If I see that again, I am going to scream so loud it causes all the letters in the font it uses to explode, de-kern themselves and turn to a cloud of little pixels. Actually, I won't do that. But come on people can't we stop copying other people's copies of someone else's personality profiles? ///end rant/// You ought to become Queen of North Korea or something. At least there you would have some sense of AUTHORITY....Here we have what is called Freedom Of Speech.Who are you to tell me what I shoud and should not put on MY profile.I think some people's profile should include....."Self Righteous know it all....Who somehow is still single." |

Agree, I think many people do not know what to write in their profiles. It is difficult to summarize all your likes, hobbies, dreams etc in a profile for the world to read. The bubble bath sounds racey Hehehe they can be all good clean fun..... With some writing a profile is not that hard for them to express themselves and run with it. Then some have difficult expressing themselves when writing even though they know what they like it is harder for them to put it into words. They can tell you but putting it into words they freeze. Too many times they don't in fear of it will come out wrong. |

If they only knew if they think that is long shshs they should hear me in person... |

I like short walks on a bed of hot coals! WOW...here(shoving my hot coals towards you) please take mine! No way would I do that...are you serious? I know there are people that do that! It would have to be a very, very short walk!! Easy peasy. It's a mental thing. Coals and certain materials aren't as hot as an open flame, especially once they've hit that red color. I prefer a log across flames, myself. |

anyone who feels the need to "say", "I have great sense of humor"..doesn't "I love to laugh. I try to laugh every day." How sexy, someone who laughs on purpose...every day..... |

To put down in writing, what you really feel...does take some (lot) effort to translate feelings to text, and still convey what your trying to say...without losing any of the effect! Trust me, I know! It took many years to finally get mine done, in my own way! A lot of stop and go attempts! |

I'm a little tempted to put that I enjoy short walks on the beach in my profile now. Me too! However, I'm not sure if there are any beaches where I live, and with my luck, if so, they're right next to a cliff, so I'm not going there anyway... Shshhs you would do it just to turn them away hey now don't forget to say you have kids that are your world that seems to turn some off as well. Ohhh and the kicker across the top your looking for Mr.Right or Prince Charming that seems to make them click off a profile fast according to some. But don't feel bad if we had beaches where I live they would most likely be infested with jellyfish. My favorite is "I'm looking for a man to treat me like a princess." I'm still wondering what that means....having to wear uncomfortable hoop skirts and glass slippers or what? Lmao, well I know what they mean by it but if ya look at it the way they were treated back then. hummm All they did was walk around looking good while everyone waited on them hand and foot. But actually did nothing such a boring life. Heck I don't want the Prince give me the court jester someone that can make me laugh and dance all night long. But in reality what every they say on a profile it does not make it or break it for me. Well unless they are so arrogant and stuck on themselves that you have no desire to talk to them. |
