Some actually believe that some nations or organizations possess the necessary means to control the weather and disasters of the world. Another form of warfare?

I've heard this before but thought it silly. Now that this earthquake took out Haiti's equivalent to our White House and other important buildings it makes a person wonder if it is actually possible.

What is your opinion here?

Well, we know it is possible to control to the weather,, but the question is ..to what extent or on what scale ?

i wouldn't be so sure of that
i know someone who has tapes and tapes and tapes of the controversial 'crap' that our government endures
and she firmly believes the russians have the ability to win a war using the weather and disaster

i'm not saying i believe it...but i'm putting it out there to see what kind of feedback there really is about this

The earth can cause disasters that make nuclear bombs look like childs play.

This is a tragedy.

It has destroyed the poorest nation in our hemisphere.

I can't see the need for pushing a conspiracy theory at this particular moment.

I really don't get this stuff..

I don't think she meant it like that. I think it is an interesting question. I don't buy it but makes you think.

I don't believe she is trying to offend anyone or that she needed to apologize.

I have been to haiti and I saw the suffering and misery those people had to deal with on a daily basis. If there was a country anywhere in the world less equipped to handle something like this I couldn't think of one. Maybe it's a little more personal for me since I spent quite a bit of time there.

That is quite the assumption, don't you think if WE or ANY nation had that ability don't you think places like Tehran and Pyonyang would have suffered some "natural" disaster???

It's been proposed, in a few books I have read, that certain low frequency vibrations, when concentrated on a certain area of a fault line, could ( possibly, maybe, perhaps ) cause a shift in plates that butt up against each other at the fault line.

It seems pretty far fetched.

But, if you really think about it...

How many things are there that our government ( and others around the world ) is working on without any of us having knowledge of them?

The ONLY problem I would have with that conspiracy is that Haiti has nothing I mean absolutly nothing.
What would any country have to gain by it?

The majority of the people live in make shift tin houses that they built just to have a roof over their heads.
They bathe in the ditches on the sides of the roads that waste is running down.
I think it's a rediculous theory!
These people have needed help for years and in 94 after we went there and the UN took over the mission they did nothing to help this country but to keep the criminal militants from taking over the government again.

Earthquakes, Volcano's, landslides aren't weather! Tornadoes, Hurricanes and flooding they may be able to influence, but to what degree I don't know. If they can influence weather they need to be stopped.
