I met this guy on this site....we dated...got engaged...and we just recently broke up ...
He says he still loves me and misses me....If it was true love...do you think getting back together is worth it?

Do you ever dream about getting back with an ex? Has there ever been a time where you couldn't sleep or stop thinking about the person?

I'm going on a date tomorrow with him and I'll know if the fire is still there after one kiss!

Yeah, I chalked it up to being an unhealthy obsession, figured if he loved me he would have been with me already,, and got over it.

it depends on why we broke up. Sometimes it is best to move on.

If you were once a couple , something went wrong to break that up. If it is an issue of maturity, I think with enough time it could be worth trying again,,otherwise, I think whatever went wrong will most likely go wrong again.

I have never got back with an ex, he became my ex for a very good reason. Whatever broke the relationship up in the first place may still be there when you get together again. I'd rather not take the chance of the uncertainty and time spent building up trust all over again and be more productive elswhere.

If you have to ask if it's worth it to get back with an ex, the answer is NO. I would personally just remain friends, nothing more. I would make it clear that we would only be friends and nothing more.

Obviously if you break up, something was wrong in the relationship. Once I break up with someone, I never question myself. If you sit there and ask yourself "what if," that will drive you crazy...move on.
I guess you have to ask yourself if he is really worth you driving yourself crazy? I SAY DUMP HIM AND MOVE ON!!!

I did that already. Couldn't be myself around her. Wasn't her fault; The fault was in me. Just two people who were compatible in some ways but not in others. I am happy to say she has someone who is right for her I believe. I am happy for her and him. She was happy for me when I did find that right one.
