I love chatting with strangers. 5 minute friends are kind of fun in the right circumstances. drinker

It really depends on whether you are up to talk about the weather or the color of the underwear you're wearing.

What if I'm not wearing any?

then I want proof. bigsmile

I'm pretty good at pulling a gratuitous leg crossing like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct!

that I like. love have my imagination imagine the rest.

I'm pretty comfortable talking with people. I've learned that most people appreciate a smile and a kind word. And the ones who don't appreciate it... well, they are the ones who need it the most.

But this topic is about LEAVING one's comfort zone. For me, that would be dancing. I am terrible at dancing! Imagine some big dufus being repeatedly zapped with a cattle prod. That's me dancing. It ain't gonna happen. No way.

I don't consider it going out of my way to help someone I see needs my help. Generally I am friendly to most people. If someone is pleasant I will talk to people in most situations. If I think they are trying to get me into a "situation" then I might keep my distance. Having lived in some pretty nasty areas I have learned be snotty or ignoreing someone is not going to help make you any safer.

I used to drive my kids nuts because I will talk to just about anyone,
especially if they have a foreign accent.

I'm in my comfort zone when I am at work. Or at play on the ice. Those two are my places of zen because I am always dealing with people. When I go home, it's like I am totally cut off from society and I go into a funk. And no, I don't really consider this or any other site ''social''.

Flirting? Every chance I get, and the minute they mention their boyfriend or husband, then it's good day, maaam.

Do you ever go out of your comfort zone; to help someone? (or) Just saying Hi, to a stranger? You may just, .....make their day.waving

I don't think saying hello to someone is out of my comfort zone. I thought that was just being friendly?
Did I miss something

I try to do something outside my comfort zone at least once a week. Usually it's 4 or 5 times a week. I think it's important to do things that you're afraid of as long as it's not really dangerous.

A couple of the wild, crazy, fun things I've done:

Fire walking. What a blast that was! And it didn't hurt.

Go out to a bar and actually try to get woman to slap your face. This is hard! But, I had a lot of fun trying and discovered that if you're in the right frame of mind you can walk up to a woman and just start kissing her without even saying hello.

Try to have sex within 3 different women in a single day. Still haven't done it and I'd likely need a little blue pill for the third one these days.

I don't think talking to a complete stranger puts me outside my comfort zone. Flirting would though as I am not a flirt.

Visiting a pub or similar venue by myself puts me well outside my comfort zone, but I have been learning not to be too bothered by this lately, now I am on my own.

I do karaoke because it still makes me nervous. Out of my comfort zone is going to friends day at the Baptist church and sitting in on the couples meeting where you are told that the man is always right and the woman should cleave unto the man. Now THAT'S out of my comfort zone.indifferent

Nothing else really phases me including going to a bar by myself or talking to strangers.
