There is not enough oil in Afghanistan to make it worth anyone's interest.
There is some Natural Gas deposits in the North, but other than that Afghanistan has no natural resources to be of any economic consequence.

I have studied Afghanistan. I have done a research paper on Afghanistan.
They won their Independence, with Russia's help, after 3 wars and many years from Britain in 1919.
After doing so, and with a Democratically minded King, they requested America's assistance. At the time women were allowed to vote and attend schools.
America turned them down because we were Britain's allies. Not wanting to be enamored to Russia they once again asked for American assistance in the late 50s. (58, I think)
Again we turned their request down because they wouldn't break their treaty and speak out against Russia.
The request by America was based on cold-war rivalry and politics.
As a result Russia became deeper involved in Afghan policies, government, and began training all the Afghan Military leaders inside Russian borders.
It was in this way that they were able to influence coups in the Afghan government which eventually led to the invasion in 1978.
Most of you know what has happened since.
Our historical neglect and cold-war politics led to years of war in Afghanistan and the Taliban/ Al qaeda cooperative government which was responsible for the attacks of 9/11.

We must set these mistakes right. We must finish the job.

The border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan (West Bangladesh), that gives so much assistance to the Taliban and Al Qaeda, and causes both Pakistan and Afghanistan trouble, is the Pushtu tribal region.
A tribe that is know for fierce warriors and also fierce resistance to outsiders. What they really seek is reconciling their tribal region and autonomy. Their homelands were divided by the Empire building, and redrawing of borders, of Great Britain in the late 19th century. They will Allie with anyone who will help them achieve their goal but in reality have only the dream of accomplishing their goal.
It's my personal belief that if we wish to see peace in the region we should help them to reunite their land. Of course part of this land also lies in Iran.

If we helped them achieve their goal, they would gladly turn on the Taliban/al Qaeda.

If Africa and china have a falling out, there is s region in Russia China would consider invading that is oil rich. I see it as one of the routes. Goes directly to Russia.

His product is a "selective documentary" for lack of a better term where the only side shown is the one you want to show. It is therefore, not a documentary and is an entertainment film. By the way, Sicko netted (as in profits) over $25 million. His latest grossed almost $15 million.

How can you be so blind as to not see they hypocrisy of a guy that makes that kind of money (yes, I understand he didn't take all of it) sitting there saying our system of capitalism is fatally flawed? However, Limbaugh ******* and moans about everything the liberals and "drive by media" do but he actually sticks to his guns and doesn't take advantage of the liberal programs for the most part.

Everything you listed here as a complaint of Moore fits Limbaugh too except the racism and hatred of Limbaugh.

I am not well versed on Moore. Read and watched a few things but I have more yucky experience with Limbaugh.

Moore might lean to the left, I am not so sure though.

Moore doesn't promote racial hatred like Limbaugh though so it makes him more legitimate.

1. Explain to me how Moore is not an extreme liberal.
2. Explain to me how Limbaugh takes advantage of a program/system he very much enjoys to the extent of Moore. Either that or give me solid evidence he's a hypocrite to the extreme Moore is.

Limbaugh takes advantage of everything. He uses the voice given him to promote hatred and make himself rich from those people who are not sauvy enough to know he is taking advantage of them.

To redefine my statement, he is extremely socially liberal and his economic beliefs root in those social beliefs.

I believe I asked you for examples of this hate-mongering and you came back with nothing. We are arguing your premises on this topic. If you wish to challenge Moore's hypocrisy, well, I think I already justified my claim. Otherwise, I will not give any credit to your claim until you can at least try to prove it to me.

The argument I'm making has nothing to do with the relative income, only that while Limbaugh makes millions in the system (capitalism) that he supports, Moore too makes millions and claims so much to hate the very system he has exploited to gain that wealth. To clarify, I have no issues with someone making a couple hundred million on a movie they produce.
