I sent this email to 50 different women on 4 free dating sites. I got ONE reply.

"You sound interesting. Want to rob a bank with me? I'll drive the getaway car while you go inside and get the money. Then we'll fly to Las Vegas, get married, have wild parties with showgirls and Elvis impersonators, argue because you don't want to name our first child Otto (even if it's a girl) get a divorce and spend the rest of our lives growing old and lonely."

However, I also said it to another 50 women face to face t start a conversation and got 12 phone numbers.

Do you think it's all in the delivery? laugh

No way! Then I might get caught inside the bank! I couldn't handle jail. I'm too sensitive.

Not usually. But, it doesn't seem to matter. I have read profiles and commented on them. talked about what I found interesting and still get no reply.

The above email is creative, unique and fun. It's not the kind of thing you usually get on one of these dating sites. It displays all the qualities so many women say they are looking for in a man. And still no reply.

But, when I go out to a bar, coffee house or bookstore and say exactly the same thing I get a phone number! In under ten minutes, I might add. No, not every time, but much more often than I do online.

So, back to my question, is it in the delivery?

On some occasions its all about the copy paste...some sites cancel it out while others just post it saying it was copy paste. All in all when I send some out I try and keep it short, original, and amazingly catchy like your email you had...and yes it's all about the delivery/ punch lines. You gotta know when to hold em' and when to fold em' dude.

Well, I don't know what I can do about the delivery when it's in text. Although, I'm curious to hear anyone's thoughts about this. I'm giving up on this online stuff and sticking with real life. I do so much better in real life.

Just here for the forums.

Its definatly all about the delivery! It would be very funny in person. To read it, depending on the woman, it may take them a bit to actually "get" what you are trying to do. Sad but true. Most of us would like a bit of something personal in the first email with something to build a reply with. I hate those emails of How are you doing? what do you say? Fine, so how are youuuuu doinggg? scheech. boring! I would love to get a witty fun email so dont stop trying!flowers

Texas....its the fact that people can hide behind their computer.

I am willing to bet that half the people you e-mailed are not even lookng to get your number...they are killing time on the dating site...or they are taken...fake profile?...or they just want attention.

So the other half you email would be a more accurate number for producing percentages on who is an actual contender for your attention.

You meet someone in person they can't ignore you as easily. Your in their face...your looking into their eyes...so...perhaps it is the delivery...the personal delivery. You can't knock the power of eye contact when you speak to someone. Its powerful...and intimate...a computer screen is the farthest thing from intimate.

Perhaps that's one of my problems. I try to write about something I read in their profile & how it is a similar interest.ohwell

That is a fun email! Even if the person wasn't my type, I would have replied to commend him for such a great sense of humor. Obviously if a person takes the time to think outside of the box to capture another person’s attention then whoo hoo -- send that boy an email! tongue2

I've gotten a couple of emails like this and I think they're Grrrreat!

I don't want this to turn into a nice guy thread. My point was that online is WAY different than real life. A woman that won't give me the time of day in a reply will sit and talk for hours in real life. I find this interesting.

I sent about 30 out, half responded, and I met up with 3. All in three weeks. This was on another sight, my schedule has been hectic lately and the internet has been a lot easier to find girls.

Maybe your animal magnetism did not come across in the PC delivery.
