Topic: Different??? | |

Why are so many people trying to be so called "different"..I don't understand this. when someone says this to me usually there is some form of retarded out look on life in their head. I think people have complicated their lives so much that even the simple thing seem difficult to do like hold a conversation for 5 mins.....anyway if anyone has more to add ...please do so.:))

Individuality is a nice trait to have. I personally don't like people to be "normal" looking. What's wrong with that? Maybe you are the one with the retarded outlook?

Everybody wants to be seen as an individual. At the same time they want to belong to a group. Figure that one out.

what makes you so special that enables *you* to decide what "normal" is

Why is it 'retarded' if someone has a different outlook on life than someone else? How boring would it be if we were all the same?

What's normal though? Is it just being part of the masses, doing things with regularity like going to work 9-5, living for the weekend, etc? Personally, don't like the terms normal and different. There are so many people who claim to be different but if you want to generalise you can usually categorise them in some sort of group that will have the same amount of people that may be classed as normal. I think you hit it by saying that individuality is a good thing to have. |

MANY,,,don't do that FIRST,,,,,so to THEM,,,You would be seen as DIFFERENT,,, You mentioned here that YOU have problems in having conversations LONGER than FIVE minutes,,,, CAN'T you control the communications of yourself and others BETTER than that? Maybe,,,,,they ALL see and feel YOU DIFFERENT as to being NORMAL? Just a thought man,,,,,wink,,, YOU ASKED.. It is our differences and our likes that allow others to FEEL, they like who and what WE OUR! OR, Not Like Us,,,,, |

I think people have complicated their lives so much that even the simple thing seem difficult to do like hold a conversation for 5 mins.....anyway if anyone has more to add ...please do so.:)) I don't think any of us need to TRY to be different, we all ARE different, evidenced by DNA analysis. Sure we're all made up of bone, blood, neurons, etc. but we also all have a unique combinations of qualities. I feel those that strive to flaunt their "difference" equate this with wanting to be unique, rare, something which by it's definition has value. If you can have one of a billion things, how much is it worth? If you have something that's different than the rest, it's worth more...supposively...due to it's rarity. So people want to be "different". Doesn't mean necessarily they have messed up views, they just happen to have different views than you do. No big loss, after all, it's only five minutes of your time to figure it out. Keep trying, someone will capture your interest for longer than five minutes. Good luck to you. |
