It does strike me as a little disconcerting that people seem to have no qualms about claiming they would schtupppppp a total stranger who lives 52,885 miles away with no hesitation whatsoever.

Then again, I suppose there's safety in numbers, numbers like 52,885. Even imaginary STDs have a hard time with distances like that.

What I've noticed is that there are a few very cliquish-type posters in some of those threads who try to maintain certain topics solely for their clique membership.

I have tried interacting with them on several occasions and got nowhere.

I have also noticed that many of these people never seem to post outside that particular forum. Which is fine; we should all feel comfortable wherever we're posting. I just really don't understand the need for the insular and exclusionary tactics. Were this behavior found in another forum, I might even be tempted to refer to it as "incestuous"....!!

Honestly I have been in some of the threads within the fork & dork long time ago they were different at one time with actually questions ect... Now that is nothing but a place to say what others are most likely too scared to even try.....

Always thought if one had to brag about what they thought they could do it was all talk.............. nothing more...... JMO...........

I think this is the main reason I don't really participate in those threads -- there's no payoff, there's no destination, it's just people making outrageous claims for the sake of being noticed making outrageous claims.

And it doesn't hurt anything, and I really don't have any issues with the people who do it, it's just not for me.

Now, if it's "Would You Write A Book About The Person Above You?" I can think of several here who would make interesting character studies!

But I ain't gonna be schtupppppping no complete strangers anytime in the foreseeable future.

Well, that could be interesting! I've been recommending the show to people for years (I even joined Six of One), but only a few have ever really latched onto the concept!
