I do say God Bless if I know the person to be religious.
I say Salud to those I am not certain about.
and if I could spell it - I more often than not say gadzunheit.

nothing at all. never understood why an involuntary physical reaction was worth discussing. i love to sneeze i suppose i should say something like, "does that feel good or what?"

i'm amazed that my one post has garnished this kind of attention for lil' ole' me. happy to continue though. after all, no better expert on me than me huh?

did somebody mention that many don't have time for the troops? they must not have time for dating site forums either i suppose.

Everyone support those that you can,
However you can
Whenever you can
Where ever you can
With whatever ya got

a kind word goes a long way
as does a smile
a signature
or an act

The attention wasn't focused on you. It was your comment on those that sign the pledge not doing anything for the troops.

Yes that is your opinion but like I said I know and you should know also that something as little as a hand shake or a wave goes a long way.

and why the attention on my comment? if you feel that i am wrong about my feeling that a pledge does not constitute support for the troops then why not ignore my opinion? you don't for a second think that you'll stifle me from posting future opinions i have on issues do you? and you're certainly not about to change my opinion on an issue that i am obviously passionate about. so what exactly is your point. you already said you don't appreciate my opinion. i got it. and you have my opinion.

Yes that is your opinion but like I said I know and you should know also that something as little as a hand shake or a wave goes a long way.

indeed they do. but the issue here is clicking on a website and typing in your name on a pledge you didn't even take the time to write. if you think that goes a long way great, i disagree.

the "me" that i refered to as being an expert on was one particular vet, that vet being ME. were i refering to all vets and active military i would have used those words.

Everyone should support the troops. I support them now just as I did under bush. The only diffrence is now I support the president and the troops.

yes they do. much time spent here on this dating site by many many people. and as another poster said, many don't have the time to do anything more than take a short break from this dating site to click on a link, type their name and then hurry back to a thread where somebody pissed them off because they have an opinion different than theirs and hours later still be arguing about what i've no clue. but they only had enough time to devote to our troops that it takes to type their name on a pledge they didn't even have time to write. you're doing much to support the owners this dating site in their quest to attract advertising dollars as im sure you supported the url that features "the pledge". they like ad dollars too i suppose. but we can all afford no more time to give real support of the troops.

There you go again talking down about people who you believe aren't doing things you approve of. If you have time to go support the troops, that's great. However, it's not up to you to put others down for doing things in different ways.

call it put down if you chose. we simply disagree. either way only i determine what is and is not up to me. you don't have a say in that. i'm quite sure you feel the same.

A Historic Success In Military Recruiting
In Midst of Downturn, All Targets Are Met

By Ann Scott Tyson
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, October 14, 2009

For the first time in more than 35 years, the U.S. military has met all of its annual recruiting goals, as hundreds of thousands of young people have enlisted despite the near-certainty that they will go to war.

The Pentagon, which made the announcement Tuesday, said the economic downturn and rising joblessness, as well as bonuses and other factors, had led more qualified youths to enlist.

The military has not seen such across-the-board successes since the all-volunteer force was established in 1973, after Congress ended the draft following the Vietnam War.
