We are talking about conservative right winger Hutcherson aren't we? It's no suprise he might like Rush for his own purposes they share some of the same political views. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Hutcherson

In fact many right wing evangelical christians can't stand Obama for obvious reasons. Doesn't say anything About Rush at all to me, just that they share the same views.

boo I understand you don't like Rush but does that make it right for some to spread lies about him?

What lies? Black NFL players said that they wouldn't play for a team owned by him. The NFL said that his comments don't reflect accurately on the NFL and their players. My Mayor and Aldermen (some are black) didn't want him to own the Rams either. All of these people think that he is a racist. Are these black NFL players wrong? They can see it better then we can.

So being black makes you a better racist spotternoway
I'm sorry but that statement makes absolutly no sense at all to me.

People are making up statements and saying Rush said them. Is that not telling a lie?

It doesn't matter if you don't like someone or not that doesn't make ok to lie about them!

Nobody is lying about Rush's racial bias. It is there to be seen all people have to do is open their eyes and ears.

I disagree with Winx though.flowerforyou I think white folks who have opened their mind, are more able to see racism than any of the targets of said racism.

Just like my best friend who is black can spot racism pointed towards me from other black folks. I can spot the racism pointed towards her when she doesn't see it because I am white and have been around racist white folks.

Yep, I've had black friends know that I got dissed before I knew that I did. I know what you're talking about.

I also think that those black NFL players thinking that Rush is a racist tells a lot too. We've never walked in their shoes and they've had to deal with things that we never had to deal with before.

That makes no sense? I'm too sleepy to explain it well. We've never walked in their shoes and felt the prejudiced directed towards them. They see it because they lived it.

I don't think they're lies, Tjn.

A number of those opposed to Mr. Limbaugh’s ownership of the NFL franchise have claimed he is a racist and has made racist statements. As evidence they point to reports of racist quotes attributed to Mr. Limbaugh such as calling for the Medal of Honor to be given to the man who shot Martin Luther King Jr., or that “slavery had merits”. If true, these are particularly heinous statements. The problem, apart from general free speech considerations, is that Mr. Limbaugh may have never even said any of the things he is being accused of saying. So while his opponents are trying to claim he does more than just discuss controversial topics and that he is in fact a racist and a “hatemonger”, there does not seem to be any evidence of this, at least that I was able to find.

I guess I still can't comprehend how some are still runing with this. Just because you hate someone is no reason to spread lies.

I thought we had this thing called innocent until PROVEN guilty.

I thought I would read an earlier link that Spider posted. At the end of the article Rush says:

'these guys get validated, everybody wants to stand out, they want to get endorsement deals and so forth. So television, making stars out of people who engage in classless behavior helps lead to it and contribute to it. No question in my mind about it.'

I find this interesting when Rush is so very often classless himself. And he makes millions with his nauseating comments. For me, he doesn't even have to say anything directly racist to be grossly mean spirited and ugly.

But you know what, we are never going to see eye to eye on this, because those who like him love his kind of sarcasm and comments, so they are not phased by the way he frames things. No one has proved to me yet that he is absolutely a racist, but he is so distasteful he brings controversy on himself. People are much more outrageous today and behave badly, but so does he. And he knows damn well that it makes him money, and as he admitted himself that is his baby.

To me this is karma, he made a mockery of Obama going as far as wanting him to fail. Interesting that he know failed himself. Funny it never would have crossed my mind to say that I would want Rush to fail. Maybe he should have thought about his own words. He has gotten to full of himself he really thought nothing could stop him from doing anything he wanted.

51% of Democrats wanted George Bush to fail. Why should they now judge Rush Limbaugh so harshly for feeling the same way about Obama?

Where did I say that black people can't be racist?huh

My newspaper said that some black NFL players said that they would not play on a team owned by Rush.

What's wrong with having principles? I was brought up to have them.

I'm curious...how many ant-Rush bashers have actually ever listened to his show...I listen everyday...all the way back to when he started in 1988...race...is hardly ever the topic of discussion...Liberalism ?...now thats another story...like Rush says...you have to listen to his show for 6 weeks...to fully grasp his intellect...and...to understand his humor...I wonder if they'd let Michael Vick buy a % of an NFL team...or...maybe Ray Lewis...or...PacMan Jones...

Leno says...

Rush Limbaugh has been dropped from a group of investors who were trying to buy the St. Louis Rams. Speculation was that Limbaugh was considered by the league to be too controversial, you know, unlike Michael Vick, Pacman Jones, Coach Tom Cable, Plaxico Burress. The NFL hates controversy!

I think it is more about morale and the people working for the employer/owner than anything else. In the end , it isnt about how any of us feel about him it is up to the people whose livelihoods he will be part owner of. So , if he feels someones race is such a huge part of their ability or regognition, as he has implied many times,, perhaps those players shouldnt be heckled for standing on their principle and chosing not to play for him. Its sad, if they decided not to play because they werent being offered enough money it would be no issue, but they say they dont want to play for someone who carries themself in such a bigoted way,,,,well,,,for some reason,,people just dont seem to understand that
