How do you know that? just my guess murder was premeditated and I believe his taking his own life was premeditated/planned showing careful planning/thinking on his behalf hence no mental illness again just my guess; opinion Fran, People that kill themselves quite often plan it. But..when he shot himself, I'm thinking suicide. Btw, when I was in high school, a classmate's father killed the mom and then himself. It was a murder/suicide. |

Any attempt at one's own life is suicide... so yes he attempted suicide but not due to mental illness but due to clever thinking and attemting to avoid jail time. |

the real problem is why would a judge give him 60 years instead of death . it was 1 degree murder .
