Mass production of unhappy, unhealthy and disstressed beasts slaughterd for the mass,s?........its a sick sick thing to do.,but hay!,its yummy,,,right?,wrong, that cow, pig, sheep, lamb, chickin or any what other animals flesh and life you choose to stuff down your neck, has a LIFE,FEELINGS,it feels and gives love,it breaths air and has as much right as anyone else to do so,without having to worry that its going to end up on someones plate?,so next time you put that bit of dead cooked soulless flesh in your mouth,REMEMBER this, you like it,it tastes nice and its what animals are there for, they like to be eaten,I am an animal lover but its nautral to eat meat,i need protien, they dont suffer,we,r not strange its them!,TO KILL AN ANIMAL IS MURDER.

so there was this traveling saleman who had a flat tire right by the farm

he walked up to the farmer to ask for help. And the farmer said "watch this. I have a three legged pig that can change that tire for you"

he whistled and a three legged pig came out of the barn. walked over to the car and instantly changed the flat tire

the salesman said "that sure is a fine pig"

and the farmer said, "yep, why just last year the tractor fell on me and this pig grabbed the jack and lifted the tractor and pulled me out."

The salesman said "yup that IS one fine pig. But if you don't mind me askin? Why does he only have three legs"

the farmer replied, "well son, a fine pig like that you don't want to eat all at once"

Well, we appear to have beaten a seriously dead horse! Question is: Who's going to eat it? Interesting arguments...However, virtually no one moves from one side to another on these kinds of discussions.

And its a fact cooked food cause disease and cancer is high up on that fact,.i havent eaten meat ever, ive been a raw food eater for 5years,i weigh 12stone and i can bench press 175kg 15times in the gym, more than some guys twice my size!,and i keep getting stronger!,look at a gorrila,Vegan power.

If eating meat causes Cancer then how do you account for the millions, even billions, of people who eat meat daily and don't have cancer. I am sure if the American Cancer Society believed that eating meat caused cancer they would not be adviseing patients to eat a well balanced American Dietetics Associan diet that includes meat protiens.

What you fail to acknowledge is it takes greater volumes and variety of food to attain the required nutrients and calories of a meatless diet.

Your physical ability and strength is not really relative information to the arguement given your age and size and whatever other factors such as genetics or other suppliments you might be consumeing. It remains to be seen if you are doing damage to your body.

Okay as far as I'm concerned if one wants to be a vegetarian the more power to them that is their choice same as it is my choice to eat meat......

But if one is going to throw out facts all I say is get your facts right at least, you are saying that cancer rates are higher for those that eat meat hummm maybe you should read this and I will follow the link where I get my facts from as well..........

These results are absolutely not supportive of the proposition that vegetarianism protects against either heart disease or all-cause mortalities. In fact, they indicate that vegetarianism is more dangerous for women than for men.

The claim that vegetarians have lower rates of cancer compared to nonvegetarians has been squarely contradicted by a 1994 study comparing vegetarians with the general population.7 Researchers found that although vegetarian Seventh Day Adventists have the same or slightly lower cancer rates for some sites, for example 91 percent instead of 100 percent for breast cancer, the rates for numerous other cancers are much higher than the general US population standard, especially cancers of the reproductive tract. SDA females had more Hodgkins disease (131 percent), more brain cancer (118 percent), more malignant melanoma (171 percent), more uterine cancer (191 percent), more cervical cancer (180 percent) and more ovarian cancer (129 percent) on average.

IM NOT RAMMING IT AT YOU!but like JESS642 if you must eat meat make it organic, from small independent farms where the animals had the best quality of life and is killed it the most kindest way,the animals today are farmed to such an extent that we humans are creating new dieases, bird flu, foot in mouth, swine flu,it has to change,it carnt go on,sure if i was in the wild and hungry id kill and eat,but thats diffrent, here i can choose, cheap cheap meat, comes from animals pumped full of drugs and chemicals, they suffer and it effects the taste of the meat,so it may cost more but if you try it,organic meat is a step in the right direction!

Actually, behind all the fun, I think most people agree with you. But the food industry supplies meat at cheap prices and the steak I had yesterday was very tender and tasty. The Hebrew National hot dog I had for lunch was very good too but isn't going to pass any "organic" standard of which I am aware. Keep sending the message. It is still a good thing even if no one changes their life style because of it. I am trying to eat more soy, fish, and chicken and less pork and beef. I'll never be a vegetarian because that isn't what BBQ is all about.
