I did not say everything she has said was stupid. I just pointed out that it is easy to use google and read/watch (I'm sure youtube has a lot) for yourself, rather than relying on what someone else tells you.

But here's the problem: I've asked why YOU think she's not smart. So doing my own research isn't even possible, since I can't research your thoughts. Therefore, I'm going to need some help here. What has she said or done that leads you to believe she isn't intelligent. I'm only asking for a couple of examples here.

I doubt anything I'm going to show you is going to change your mind. However, you can watch her interview with Katie Couric if you'd like. In my opinion, it does not show her as being vice president material.

Seen it. I think it shows someone who felt she was being put into a corner with unfair interviewing tactics. Was Obama asked what magazines and newspapers he reads?

I think relying on a single interview as an impression that someone is stupid seems a bit ungainly.

Obama is ten months into his presidency and shows absolutely no understanding of how economics work from a Keysian or Austrian school and I don't call him stupid. That's 10 months of evidence. I call him crooked and question his motives, but I wouldn't call him stupid. Even though he is the first president who has refused to release his college grades...just saying...

You see, I have heard a lot of people say Sarah Palin is stupid. The only evidence I've seen has been proven to be lies or the Katie Couric interview. That's it. I'm looking for her to explain to me why I should take the Couric interview as demonstrative of Sarah Palin's intellect. Or is there other evidence?

You know, I've seen Obama without a Teleprompter...He makes George Bush look articulate. He's all "ummms" and "ahhhs".

I think it comes down to this: Obama gets a pass, because he's "smart"...everyone "knows" he's smart. But Palin gets beaten on for every mistake. It's pure partisanship. I don't think Obama is dumb, even though he choose Biden as his running mate and said that he had campaigned in 57 states.

This wasn't the only interview of her and neither she was only asked about the newspapers she reads and that wasn't even the focus of the interview.

It is true that Obama is no perfect either and I would actually call him inexperienced and lacking many skills, but this doesn't make Sarah Palin any smarter.

People like you really bother me. If I had called you stupid, it would be one thing, but to accuse me of a bannable offense, which I didn't commit is simply beyond the pale. I would ask you to apologize, but experience tells me that you would simply insist that I had called you stupid and you would refuse to see your mistake. I don't think you are stupid, but I think you are dishonest. And that is a far worse thing to be, since nobody chooses to be stupid and it takes requires an active decision to be dishonest.

Hmm, interesting. You have seen Obama , a constitutional lawyer, unable to speak with intelligible english,,like Bush? I would love to know when and where, or see an example. OBama was a better candidate for many reasons to those who voted. For me, several of those reasons did relate to his intelligenc; his ability to be a leader, to handle himself, to SPEAK fluently in a way that wouldnt embarass us when he meets with other heads of states, his tendency to take his own responsibility for whatever weaknesses and not blame them on outside persons,,many things tied to intelligence made him a better choice FOR ME. Those were not the only things I considered though.
