I think the biggest critics of Obama think, that the global recession is something local. I got news for you. It's global and most places are having the same problems (except much worse) as in USA and to tell you the truth, other countries' leaders aren't handling the crisis any better, that gives the point, that no one really could be "a lot better" no matter what ideology or ideas have.

He knew the recession was tough but he continued to promise jobs, jobs and jobs . where are the new created jobs now ?.

The jobs were not promised within the first year. Go back and read the speeches. He promised to start more green technology and create more jobs by what year?

Almost every single post in this forum is all about Obama and either how bad of a president he is, what he's doing wrong or what he isn't doing right.

Just did a quick scan of the threads and of the 20 that show on the first page I think I counted 4 about Obama. That's a bit distant from "almost every single post"

That said, if there are other topics you are interested (you mention some pretty interesting ones) by all means post them and stop crying about nobody else doing it.

When you are a president you are open to public scrutiny and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that . The president has too much power and the public should keep an eye on every word he says .
For instance I remember very well that during the presidential debates he promised to create millions of jobs . Of course Americans are losing jobs now under his ill fated leadership and add to that all the broken promises and we have a shallow mind walking .

If you remember correctly...the great obama promised to create jobs and within the first year that we would have "shovel ready" jobs. That our roads and bridges..etc would be 1st priority. What happened...nothing. They can't even follow were all of this stimulus money has gone. Sure, push a bill without reading the over 1000 page report within 24hrs and then tell the people to have patience...hmmm, something does not sound right with that one ;)

well i rarely dip my toe in political ponds but i see nothing's changed in the last year other than the name of the man in the office of president. of course the bashers of the presidency a year ago now defend the presidency and visa versa. and if everybody had saved their opposition's posts of a year ago most posts today would apply to their position with a simple name change. the sensless partisan political banter would go on with much less effort and the exact same effect. hey, aren't there computer programs that could just delete bush and insert obama? computers have no sense or reasoning power. they could conduct our senseless debating for us and likewise accomplish absolutely nothing..
