I'm hip. My kid told me that I'm cool. I don't have to hear my voice messages right away and I can get back to them when I am free. I've done it in the past. I'd rather hear a voice then text. Your kid said because he (she) thinks you'll buy them a car if they are nice enough to you. As I posted earlier, many women never check voice mail. Maybe it's been a while sense you got 50 or so phone calls a day. The women I date are this kind of woman. They are asked for their phone number 10 times a day. When a call comes in from someone the don't know, they ignore it. They give out their number to be social. They seldom return calls, but read all texts. Texting works better than calling most of the time. Then there are mature and together women like me, who will not immaturely text men who should be more mature than that especially if they are over 35 or so. No offense here but texting is a kids thing and it takes more effort than just calling would anyway. If I give a man my number and he texts me instead of calling he will probably lose out. I get texts from my kids and their friends not from grown men unless there is a valid reason like he is in a meeting and cannot talk. |

That's cool. However, I find texting MUCH easier than calling. More fun too! I can send 5 texts to five different women all at once at 10PM. Which ever one sends a reply I know is up for a booty call. If I get two replies I tell them both I may have a plaything for us. I love technology!

I am really getting disillusioned by Love and Relationships. Why is it that people feel they need to play games? I certainly don't have time for them. Very recently; I was chatting with a young lady I met on Mingle; our conversation was going nice until...she wanted me to go to a Live Webcam Site, to see her undress on camera. When I refused to go; she got the nerve to get mad at me. Is it right that you should play with a person's heart and feelings? Or the phone number game; I give you my number, and you never call. Or you give me your number, and I can never reach you. All I can say is play time is over, some people need to grow up... it was a man baby! ya! |

They even text during the drive home from school after being together all day. They can be sitting in the same room and text. These are not high school kids either. lol I'm lucky that my child sees no use for it. |

There are plenty of honest people out there. You just have to be smart and choose wisely. Frankly, you shouldn't be upset that she showed who she was right away...saves lots of time.

BUT...consider this. If your man/woman is at work, and cannot actually talk on the phone because they would get in trouble, but they really wanted to let you know they love you or that you are thinking about them, and a text message can convey the message without the other getting into trouble...is it such a bad thing?? |

If your man/woman is at work, and cannot actually talk on the phone because they would get in trouble, but they really wanted to let you know they love you or that you are thinking about them, and a text message can convey the message without the other getting into trouble...is it such a bad thing?? he sends me texts all the time...when he rolls over in bed and realises I am work.... he sends "watcha wearing? those hot pink gumboots again for me baby?" Makes me laugh every time! |

One of the best way to see if someone is fake on this dating site, or on any dating site, there are a few things to consider.
1. Their description of themselves sounds too good to be true or they hardly say anything. 2. Their picture looks like if it's taken professionally. Some only have pics with just themselves in it. 3. If you ever get a chance to communicate back with someone, and they ask they want to chat with you outside of a dating site's IM, or send their IM or e-mail when they message you, that's a pretty good indicator that that person wants nothing more than to take you to some other website, usually a webcam site. Truthfully, I've been conned. YES, it's true. That's why I will only focus on those who show themselves as legit(They have other people in their pics, don't put their IM or e-mail in their profile, and don't seem to look like models). I hoped that kind of helped. |

I don't text. I don't text either. I think it's lazy.  If I meet a guy that only sends text messages it's a red flag and a turn off. Texting also makes me feel like part of a harem of "his" chicks if he only sends text messages. I am NOT down with that crap.

When a profile is set up for the specific intent to divert you to a pay site, flag the profile as SPAM to the mods.
