Topic: Why men are hit by lightning. | |
---|---|
I have seen several threads posted by new male members recently that really made me wonder. Today I saw a news item titled "Are men or women more likely to be hit by lightning?"
Well it turns out that between 1995 and 2008 that 82% were male. They (jokingly) discussed the possibility of extra iron in the male cranium or the conductive properties of testosterone to uncover the biological cause ... but it turns out men are ... "just kind of stupid" according to lightning expert John Jensenius of the National Weather Service. Comments? |

Men are outside more than women.
Working, playing, getting away from nagging spousal units........ I bet more of them are married than single too. |

Jensenius goes on to say that "Men are less willing to give up what they are doing in the face of inclement weather." I think this is how the "stupid" comment was formulated.

Maybe they should go a little more in depth with that statistic and see how many of those dudes that got hit were out on a golf course. lol

No one has said it yet.
Women have enough sense to get out of the rain...... hehehe. |

They say its because men are outside more doing things
like golf, sports, fishing, etc... and they tend to watch storms more than run for cover. but I would like to believe its because of those loose screws in their brains too. |

Men are more stupid than women. But, also smarter. There is a wider veriance in this among men than women.

it's an unknown fact that men who are hit with lightning (if they survive)will enjoy a growth of there male parts buy as much as 50%-----some men take the chance---thats all it is! Nothing scientific about it.

I would suppose there are some that just can not grasp the concept of "Hello I am now the path of Least resistance" Truthfully though (even thoiugh I have not done any research on it) I think there are more men out working somewhere outside thus increases thier chances of this happening....and yes again there are some that just do not have a lot of electrical impulses going on in thier brain

The Word of God (Bible), if you consider it as any substantial source, says that God directs lightning to its very mark.
Ruh-roh! |

This seems to get them struck more by lighting at times
or even this ........... They tend to stay outside longer when it starts raining while women tend to go indoors instead........ |

After he had been struck by lightning at the 1975 Western Open, Lee Trevino was asked by a reporter what he would do if he were out on the course and it began to storm again. Trevino answered he would take out his 1 iron and point it to the sky, "because not even God can hit the 1 iron." |
