Rejection builds character in some. In others it turns them into nice guys

Everyone gets rejected at some point in their life. It's really not a bad thing. It's good for you. It might not feel good but it's good for you.

I don't ask them out because they never ask me out. Who ever said Men were supposed to go around asking/begging in the first place??? You assume an action is supposed to be done and required of Men. Maybe to some, but you ask me out and if you pass that chance rank it up to your not asking.
Major one sided standard here that sort of implies men are supposed to be trained seals of some type. |

No standard intended, but since I am a woman, I wanted some feedback from the opposite sex is all. I stated that in my original thread. |

Feedback time guys. How many of you have not asked a woman out because you just assumed she would say no? Does fear of rejection stop you from approaching? Just want to get the male's point of view since I have a girl-brain. When I was younger, I had that problem for awhile. Now that I'm a pseudo-successful author, I can't find anyone interesting enough to worry about being rejected by. |

Yes I do think that there is some fear of rejection...I would think that any man who is not arogant and think he is God's gift to woman. Is going to have some fear...I can tell you that I have been turned down twice now by email but it has not discouraged my intrest in women or my willingness in communication with them. It is to my belief when the right comes along I will know. I think also some men are just not williing to commit anymore. I think there is a fear in that they do not want drama or are willing to accept the other persons past relationship ventures. Oh, and then there is this honesty thing I think some men are not truely honest with themselves as to what it is they really want...or maybe it is just sex with no commitment....I think of a million more reasons but I everyone sees where I coming from...Good luck everyone in your relationships

If you feel that asking someone out is begging, or that women view men as "trained seals" then you have issues. |
