7 pages trunner. I guess it all boils down to preference, and taste. I guess I'm the exception to the rule on tats. I'm a lifelong hardcore biker. Played 20 years plus in rockbands. Former military. Combat decorated vet. And noone can believe I do not have any tattoos. Call me different. I never got caught up in the ink. I like some of it. But its just not for me. For my freinds that get on my back- I just tell them "I'm a real man. I don't need tattoos. I have scars". Shot twice in combat. Knifed. Crashed AMA dragracing bikes. I don't need any tats. All my wounds tell my story. But once again to each his own.

I get just the opposit reaction. They don't believe I have a tat or
am that kind of person. ohwell I say just what kind of person
is that to them. Then I pull up my pant leg and say SEE!!! laugh
To each their own. drinker

OP: My profile has a few of my tattoo pics.. My arms were the first ones I got and I have a few that aren't up there but I think a good beginner tat (if you're getting into the style) is an arm tattpp or a back calf tattoo... Don't just go to a tattoo shop and grab something out of a book either.. Bring a photo of someone/something with you and have what you want to get in your mind before you get it...

I have four tats, that I refer to as trophies from my youth. Believe me when I say, it's one of those; well it seemed like a good idea at the time, situations. After a couple of years the novelty wears off and you don't even notice them anymore. If your asking for advise, my suggestion is take the (extravegant amount of) money you would spend on a tattoo and adopt a loveing pet. If your mind is made up, then I suggest you really put some thought into what you get, and be comfortable with it, because they last a lifetime.

My tattoo was free, he did a good job and I love it. I'll never regret getting it.

I am a tattoo artist and have ran my own company for 8 years now...

Tattoos can be great or they can be a curse, it is very important to get something that has meaning to you, NOT because it looks "cool" on the wall. Find something you like and change it, make it personal. I will NOT tattoo a generic design on a client, they have to let me change it or I refuse to work on it.

Take your time and plan ahead and you will be fine. Just remember once you start becoming a tattoo collector, the addiction drives you wild!!

It would take me too long to decide, so many designs and idea's

I only want one tattoo, a cross, even that would take me forever to decide many cross designs

some backgrounds cut off whole body tattoos and preserve them when the people pass away. it is sacred in most tribes to be tattooed so it has a long history and only gets better every generation

How did they tattoo a long time ago? They must have used natural dyes from plants
