Engraven_Image, why you regret it? I suppose it depends on where you live. I intern for an attorney in California and my body art is not an issue. When I appear in court to assist him during criminal trials, there are court appointed officers/bailiffs with ink, and one of the clerks had a nose ring like mine. When I interviewed, I put a nose stud in and covered my wrists with theatrical make-up but I soon learned they don't have an issue with my appearance but rather judge me for my education. Thankfully, times are changing … slowly but they are … |

I really was not sure what forum to post this on so I decided to put under gerneral. I am Chritian man and lately have been feeling a little wild and daring. In the restaurant last night I had a thought again about getting body art done. I would like to hear everyones thoughts about body art. What insired what you already have and what do they mean to you. What are the ladies thoughts about sexy masculin body art. I have a adventures background from serving the Navy on a carrier for 4 years, a Chev. Master Technitian for 7 years and 9 years as a local and over the road truck driver. I was thinking about have some really neat life experience art done. Just want to hear your stories and opinions. Have fun with this one (After I fallow through with this master piece I have been thinking about posting the work also what do think??) If someone loaned you their car, and you brought it back to them with grafitti sprayed on it, wouldn't they be just a bit PO-ed? I doubt anyone will go to Hell for a tattoo, but it isn't YOUR body now, IS IT? I don't mean to sound "holier than thou"...I'm certainly not perfect...just check out my posts. But your body isn't yours. Maybe you shouldn't spray grafitti on it. Did I read that correctly? You think we DO NOT own our bodies? Yes, my body is my own -- and no one tells me what to do with my body. I hope people have enough sense to feel the same about their bodies. Who the hell do you think owns yours? Keep in mind not everyone believes in god and antiquated theology. |

I've got 4 tattoos myself, here's 3 of them.
Sorry about quality, this is on a camera phone. Unfortunetly I can't take a photo of the 4th by myself as it's on my back. Tattoos can have many meanings, that bomb I've got on my stomach just signifies a certain time of my life, nothing more. But the cross is about faith in humanity (not god) and is a sign of oppression of belief. The alien was my first tattoo, wanted it forever. It's my own design. A bit of a coming of age thing. On my back is the German word, Nerv, with half a maple leaf. Signifying how we protect our humility with our feelings and lies... Tattoos can mean anything you want them to, I think they're fantastic and I love a lady with tatts and piercings. |

I would think your skills exceed body art but I know there are still so many judgmental people -- it makes me sick. Good luck in your military career. I love soldiers! |

You are so healthy in your beliefs!!! Spirituality is important but not to the point of brainwashing or unrealistic control over your life. |

My body is the vehicle I have been allocated to walk around in... it is mine for the duration of this stay... and yes my van is also muralled.... This body is mine...not yours, nor your strange views'. |

We don't believe in the same thing, silly. |
