Good question; I know in my case, I am filing a written complaint with whoever I need to do so, and I will be voting for a different animal control officer when the time comes. I am also putting up cameras in order to catch all this when it happens, so that I have it on video BECAUSE of the slim chance of animal control actually catching the animals off their chain. And if and when that happens, heaven forbid the animal control officer does nothing again, cause I will do everything i my power to see he spends time in jail, for endangering the public by not doing his job.

Now, if these dogs are running at you with their lips all snarled up you need to stop taking your little ones out front until this is resolved. I'm wondering what triggered the neighbor to begin with that he sets his dogs loose on you. Hmmmm.

Sorry. This is a load of crap.

Why should he have to make a drastic change to what HE does just because his neighbor refuses to obey the leash laws??

Lemme tell ya...those dogs wind up biting one of his kids, there isn't a judge in this country ( well...maybe in California ) that would tell him " Well...you should have just stopped taking the kids outside through the front door ".

He called animal control and they will handle it. He has covered himself. Animal control usually will come same day.

Look back a bit. Animal Control did, indeed, come out.

They did nothing but drive by.

The chances of the dogs being out at the particular time the Animal Control warden comes past that house are pretty slim.

What now?

Now who is talking out of misinformation or predjudice? I happen to love dogs. I don't have one because I rent my current property. Prior to this, I lived in the city and refuse to have the type of dog I want in that small of an area. And the dog I want? A Siberian Husky. Needless to say, I am not afraid of dogs, nor do I dislike them.

In regards to the pit bull comments, yes I am cautious around them, but that is because very few humans know how to properly raise a pit bull. I have had a couple friends who DID raise pits and breed them, and they took the time to get the training they needed, and MADE SURE the dogs were trained and raised properly. IMO there is nothing better than a properly raised and trained pit for a home security issue, because properly trained and raised, they will NOT attack or even threaten or snarl unless you enter the property when yuo shouldn't be, or are posing a threat to it's masters.

But what does any of that have to do with this guy having to deal with two aggressive dogs???

Because he may have the perception that they are aggressive?? Have they ever bitten anyone in his area? knocked someone down? Some dogs just bark, he most likely does not understand dogs.
I think people like him would complain of any dogs close to their home.
If it was a pit bull he may have a case, too much documentation of this breed harming people.

ok, I tel my kids to buff up and stand their ground. These dogs are the same size of the children and already aggressive, they are NOT going to back down from the children. Which is WHY, I sent my kids back around the house and INSIDE, while I stood my ground with the dog in question.

If the dogs can sense that he fears them, then that will only prompt them to take a more aggressive stance toward him and his children.

So, he needs to tell his kids to buff up and show no fear.noway

Needs a video camera and get evidence.

Agree,Agree!!! He needs to buff up and tell his kids to buff up too.

Daytime, you miss the point of several comments in here. I agree the dogs may be untrained, but dogs are natural hunters and killers IF NOT TRAINED, and even then it is still instinct, they are just trained to not follow instinct. This being the case, yes they could very well be aggressive and attacking NATURALLY. I am not saying this is definitely the case, nor am I saying it isn't the case, but you have to accept the fact that dogs ARE naturally aggressive.

I think that is all it is. Lazy owner, dogs untrained.
I am sure the dogs are fine and not out looking to bite someone.
