Never lower your standards. Revaluate them yes, but never lower.

Another deep Sigmund Freud issue here. God, I should have been a therapist! Most are right here saying you shouldn't lower. I have been burned, stabbed, crucified, etc. myself for lowering my standards. The problem is how genuine is the person you are with the first 3 or 6 months you knew them, or was it all an acting job to get you to fall in love with them. Now if this has been a real person from the beginning and their true self was never falsely advertised, rare, but it can happen, some people can better their lives, turn it around, and maybe they'll rise to your standards. So in general take it from the veterans in love, don't risk it, but if you do anyway, you still may have a chance if that person is honest with you and willing to make a change to improve your relationship with them.

Comprimaise is the key. Place them too high, and you willnever have a lasting relationship. Too low, and you are whore.

No lowering of Standards on my part

If they don't meet the standards you wont even like them its a flash in the pan. move one. I never lower my standards but a roll in the hay is just that. LOL

well i mean if they have a rock hard body and a huge dick but do hard drugs then id say my standards are low enough

Depends on how you define standards. Some of mine are fairly flexible and some are not.

Generally I would say a really skinny guy would not meet my standards for what is attractive but I have to think if he had the personality and values that are more critical I might fall head over heels.

Good luck, most men I see here are either A-holes, self-cented, shallow, or just for a one night stand. I looked and looked but there are no men left that are honest, faithful, nor true to the old ways.

I would never lower my standards..
been there done that..NEVER again!..I was losing a sense of who I really am when I lowered them a long time ago...Since then I realized If they don't meet my standards I don't want them in my life...
