The 20 Rules Of Halloween!

1. When it appears that you have killed the monster, NEVER check to see if it's really dead.

2. Never read a book of demon summoning aloud, even as a joke.

3. Do not search the basement, especially if the power has gone out.

4. If your children speak to you in Latin or any other language which they should not know, shoot them immediately. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. However, it will probably take several rounds to kill them, so be prepared. This also applies to kids who speak with somebody else's voice.

5. When you have the benefit of numbers, NEVER pair off and go alone.

6. As a general rule, don't solve puzzles that open portals to Hell.

7. Never stand in, on, or above a grave, tomb, or crypt. This would apply to any other house of the dead as well.

8. If you're searching for something which caused a loud noise and find out that it's just the cat, GET THE HELL OUT!

9. If appliances start operating by themselves, do not check for short circuits; just get out.

10. Do not take ANYTHING from the dead.

11. If you find a town which looks deserted, there's probably a good reason for it. Don't stop and look around.

12. Don't fool with recombinant DNA technology unless you're sure you know what you're doing.

13. If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at east twice, more if you are female. Also note that, despite the fact that you are running and the monster is merely shambling along, it's still moving fast enough to catch up with you.

14. If your companions suddenly begin to exhibit uncharacteristic behavior such as hissing, fascination for blood, glowing eyes, increasing hairiness, and so on, kill them immediately.

15. Stay away from certain geographical locations, some of which are listed here: Amityville, Elm Street, Transylvania, Nilbog (you're in trouble if you recognize this one), anywhere in Texas where chainsaws are sold, the Bermuda Triangle, or any small town in Maine.

16. If your car runs out of gas at night on a lonely road, do not go to he nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help. If you think that it is strange you ran out of gas because you thought you had most of a tank, shoot yourself instead. You are going to die anyway, and most likely be eaten.

17. Beware of strangers bearing tools. For example: chainsaws, staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any devices made from deceased companions.

18. If you find that your house is built upon a cemetery, now is the time to move in with the in-laws. This also applies to houses that had previous inhabitants who went mad or committed suicide or died in some horrible fashion, or had inhabitants who performed satanic practices.

19. Dress appropriately. When investigating a noise downstairs in an old house, women should not wear a flimsy negligee. And carry a flashlight, not a candle.

20. Do not mention the names of demons around open flames, as these can flare suddenly. Be especially careful of fireplaces in this regard.

HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I am dressing up as Dr. Strange ( a comic book superhero - magic user or wizard) this year. I have my staff, cape, and medaillion. I like it alot. I am such a kid!laugh drinker

Last year I was a clown, but I won't do that again in Miami. Way too hot and humid even for this year around. The makeup melts off your face and the stuffed pillow used as a stomach was itchy and hot. laugh

So I gave away two computers to the foster home. I set them up for the internet and have the supervisors take control. These are computers my former job didn't need anymore and where going to throw away. It is amazing how the value of these computers go down in just a few years! Just like a car, as soon as you drive it off the sales parking lot the value of the car is reduce to half almost. Well it seems like it anyway. ohwell

Anyway these computers are set up now. I showed them the magical world of wikipedia, children educational games, and so forth. They are so excited and that is a success for me when I can see children laughing and smiling for smiless. laugh

Now I can have a cup of coffee and sit back knowing that the children will not be foreign to a computer while growing up. drinker

That is so wonderful! I'm sure they were absolutely thrilled. There are a lot of computers out there that people don't want or can't use and most of us forget that there are people and places that need them. That was a great idea to donate them. drinker

For a good portion of my life I look every morning in the mirror and ask myself on what I can do to help someone today. There are some days I just go outside and look for it! I know it is crazy.

But yes I feel alot better when doing this. In ways I wish everyone would be like this. This would make a significant change in the world, but of course I wish alot of things like less commercials on television, less reality shows, and less negative news also. So negative and really has an impact on societies! Unfortunately, I don't have the power to stop such powerful medias and corporations.

Anyway the little I do brings smiless on faces and that is a success for me each day. What is great about helping is you don't have to join anything if you want. You don't have to be in the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or any other foundation. You can be your own little foundation and just help where you can.

Every two weeks I wait for a blind man that I help out to buy food and drinks at a grocery store. I take it to his house and he tells me exactly where to put every single item. It has to be in the exact spot! Of course his mother helps out alot, but she has problems with her legs, so I pitch in. Then I sit and listen to the stories they have to tell me. That is my reward and a cup of coffee of course. laugh

When I first saw the guy he was having trouble finding the entrance to the store. Not a single person would guide him. I just got done buying groceries and told my wife that I am going to help the guy. It is second nature to me anyway and my wife knew it.

I ended up helping him buy his goods to. The poor guy was hungry and told me his mother can't walk very well anymore and they had no money to get the help. Of course soft hearted as I am, I offered to help.

If you think about it, there is plenty of help needed in every district of every street in every country. Even if it is just a small chat for a few minutes at a coffee house to a person who never has the opportunity to chat with anyone throughout the day. You would be amazed how many people are truly alone in this world and just a small chat is a world event for them!

Anyway let me stop. I am probably getting to deep for everyones taste in here.

Going to go get another cup of coffee now. drinker
