Now since I have found, over the years, and here too, that my experience
is so much like others, it could be agreed upon that perhaps I was
filled with the Holy Spirit, and for whatever reason my path was meant
to be different. Perhaps I serve a purpose, maybe all those prayers
served to mold me into something unusual that was needed to serve a
particular purpose.

Of course you can never know this, and I will never believe it. So
therefore, we have only one choice in this matter.

Since you can not know God's will, and all have admitted this, you can
not discreted that even non-believers serve God's purpose. For that
reason, if for no other, it is and should be your duty as a Christian to
keep peace in friendship and with acceptance, not mere tolerance, but
acceptance, of everyone, regardless of their faith, regardless of your
judgement of their religious conviction, or their life choices.

I say I have felt what you have felt. I say I have been led to my
convictions. You say it is the Holy Spirit that does this. I say, it
is the light we sense when we understand the truth that exists within
each individual, and can only only be touched by that person.

I respect what each of you may have found within you, it is your truth.
As each of us is different so are our truths. But it seems clear, that
when we touch our truth, we feel the same light.

I agree with everything you just said.
However, God's will is something very personal, and every single person
is able not to know God's will, but to discover it on a daily basis.
We are not going to able to discover it to it full extent in this
lifetime but we will when we get back to him.

I hope that I am always accepting of everyone. I try to be thoughtful
and caring to all here who post. ometimes it becomes almost a challenge.
I then turn off my pc and stay away for awhile. After I think on it a
bit, I return with cleaner, clearer, calm and loving embraces of our
individualities.

I buy into my own propaganda, and ego.

I have purpose, yes, and I find it is ever changing, fluid, and
growing...as it will continue to be.

To serve others, and to do it with grace, and integrity. To cherish and
honour, protect and nuture my fellow man, and this earth, this Mother to
us all.

I cannot call my experiences of clarity, 'Holy Spirit'...it feels
inappropriate for me.

I will just do what I do...and do it well.

And feel what I feel.

There is a spirit, a light force in you Lee, that is very strong. We
call it by different names; but we can at least agree that it is good,
kind, worthy and hopeful. With much to do about love, generosity and
life of every kind.
You are a gem Lee. Genuine, and greatly admired.

how awful that you had to be so sick for so long. I read it and I
thought how wonderful that your experience was made fruitful in the end.


LW - You and Scttr have a lot in common. You both enjoy growth so much,
I think it will be a life long endeavor that will continue to bring both
of you the greatest joys

Jess - You are right not to accept any 'other' doctrines' pre-existing
language when presenting your truth. To do so only serves to uphold
misconceptions about your truth and honor 'other' doctrines as accurate.
While they may be truth to some, they are not accurate portayals for
all. I admire your ability to have seen this and your strength to
avoid compliance for the sake of peace through propaganda. For you
have a way of presenting peace without confoming.

Interesting what we all concieve as the holy Spirit. ! thing that I have
learned is if you have something happen to you and it disagrees with the
Holy Scriptures then put it away from you. Test the spirits. I know most
on here do not want to here os see when i found Yahweh. But I can tell
you I was not looking for it. It came to me and i have tried to run many
times because of what sometimes happens or i am told to do. Doing the
will of YHWH can be in the human sence a very scary adventure.. Miles

repect for all the posts including mine did not judge but still
appropriately upheld your beliefs and futher gave others some possible
inspiration.

Non believers have helped a lot in my recovery in spiritual and in
religious ways. I have a lot of good Samaritan Athiests that go to the
same meetings I do.

The incident begins when a religious scholar of the Law tests Jesus by
asking him what is necessary to inherit eternal life. Jesus asks the
lawyer what the Mosaic Law says about it. When the lawyer quotes the
scripture, saying "Love God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your strength and all your mind (Deuteronomy 6:5), and the
parallel law of "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Leviticus 19:18),
Jesus says that he has answered correctly— "Do this and you will live,"
he tells him. See also this section of Ministry of Jesus. This can be
understood as meaning that those who follow the law, Jewish or not, will
be able to inherit Eternal life. [2]

But the lawyer then asks Jesus to tell him who his neighbor is, Jesus
responds with a parable about a man who was attacked and robbed and left
to die by the side of a road. Later, a priest saw the stricken figure
and avoided him, presumably in order to maintain ritual purity. [3]
Similarly, a Levite saw the man and ignored him as well. Then a
Samaritan passed by, and, despite the mutual antipathy between
Samaritans and the Jewish population, he immediately rendered assistance
by giving him first aid and taking him to an inn to recover while
promising to cover the expenses. He gives the innkeeper two denarii,
silver coins equal to an entire days wages for an average laborer. [4]

At the conclusion of the story, Jesus asks the lawyer, of the three
passers-by, who was the stricken man's neighbour? The lawyer is
apparently unwilling to say, "The Samaritan," so he responds, "The one
who helped him." Jesus responds with "Go and do the same." So a
"neighbor" is anyone who needs your love and help. Jesus has turned the
attention away from the question "To whom do I owe an obligation?" and
to the question, "To whom do I feel compassion?" [5] Jesus is pointing
out the nature, or subject, of love, not the object of it. [6]

This parable is one of the most famous from the New Testament and its
influence is such that to be called a Samaritan in Western culture today
is to be described as a generous person who is ready to provide aid to
people in distress without hesitation. In many English-speaking
countries, a Good Samaritan law exists to protect from liability those
who choose to aid people who are seriously ill or injured. Luke might
have used this story as a prelude to Acts 8. [7] There the Samaritans
are shown giving a positive response to the Christian message.

I could have said some of my best friends are Atiest but that would
probably come off like saying some of my best friends are black.
But if I said some of my best friends are women then it wouldn't sound

Oh, you have drank white lightning, too? My grandpa had a still and was
a pastor, too. One had to learn how to adapt during the depression my
aunts told me.

Never tried the can spirit but we made a lot of molasses. I tried some
while it was green and not cured, yet and it sure made me sick.
