Why do some people think it's okay to hit on random people? I'm at school doing my work and some guys just come up to me and start laying down lines, when I am at my busiest! I could take it as a compliment but at the same time it's just very annoying. It's especially awful when they get super aggressive, I thought school was supposed to be a safe environment? OMG!!! Isn't it just AWFUL when people think you are attractive and might actually want to get to know you??? The utter NERVE of some people to be attracted to someone. What is this world coming to???? Terrible isn't it? It's horrible!!! Sometimes I wish I wasn't this damn sexy and people would just leave me alone.

it is exactly like fishing....the more often you throw some bait out there...the more often you will get a bite. Just deal with it honey. Plenty of people get hit on. More often than not it is by someone who you got no attraction to and zero in common. But, at least you are attractive enough to get hit on. Could be worse....you could be posting that no one shows any interest in you. |

Well, very true i spose, and besides, any of the really bad ones can just be reported on. i've just had times when I was really freaked out but the times they've followed me down halls and kept asking for my number, and things like that. Also, instances where I've let them know I'm not single and they wouldn't go away. That's what my whole post is really about. |

Why is it that it seems like it's either one extreme or the other around here. It goes from " I don't get ANYONE hitting on me " to " Why can't they just leave me ALONE?? " Doesn't look like there is a whole lot of middle ground. I have middle ground; no one hits on me, everyone leaves me alone, and I can make inappropriate comments to crazy men because they think I'm just kidding.

Imagine this extremely attractive man....you notice his smile, his easy relaxed manner around people who know him... he's all lit up...seems very ATTRACTIVE...
you see him about campus, and you really notice him... a moment in time occurs, there he is! Alone! All the negative thoughts have rolled around your head, "he won't want to know me, he is too cool, he is way out of my league"...and still...you are drawn to him. So you suck up the courage, walk over, mind racing, heart pounding, and out of your mouth pops out a lame one liner.... And he looks at you like a dog turd he stepped in.... Hmmmm..... other side of the fence is rather uncomfortable, yeah? Someone thought that you were pretty special, enough to notice.....it costs nothing to acknowledge kindly. |

All day EVERY day I have to deal with an inbox full of emails from people I just couldn't lower myself to talk to. It is SO trying just being me. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
