Topic: Saved | |

I just wanted to share my testimony with you. I can relate to different
people telling me things. What I see in this post that there are many users that agree that Jesus is the way to the Father in Heaven and essentially gave us our salavation in the power of God. |

Abadabra are you saying that you are not saved? Therefore, you are
clearly stating that you deny Christ as savior. Let's communicate WITHOUT the word "religion" right now. That is the easiest thing to do. I believe that word is a worldy term to categorize believers. I don't use that word. |

I heard it described this way bored. Religion is mans way of reaching
out and up to God. God's way is reaching out and down to us through Christ. AMEN? |
|

Abra the reason you do not feel remorse because you do not know christ
that simple Another I appreciate what Christ has done for me, no shame. |

I agree rproman. Normally people perceive the term religon alone as a
word to describe ALL beliefs (buddhists, taoism, jewish, muslim, catholic) They categorize all of that in one. I want to separate what we believe from that categorizing. |

Well, I think that before I can accept Christ as my ‘savoir’ it makes
sense to ask what I’m being saved from? It’s a simple question I think. How can I be ‘saved’ if I don’t even know what it is that I’m being ‘saved’ from? |

SIN, It doesn't mean that we stop sinning either, but to love Christ in
this form of submission causes us to sin less and then his sacrifice takes affect nd washes us from the continuing sin. But i get the feeling you really don't want what is offered so good luck to you also. |
|
|
|
For me being saved means that I get to spend the rest of my life in a
relationship with God. When I die I will spend eternity with Jesus and God. Death without being saved is separation from Christ and God. He is the creator and He is the one that I want to spend eternity with. Some of the last statements in the Bible are that Satan and all of the ones who did not believe are thrown into a lake of fire. I personally believe I am being "saved" from that and a life of separation from God. |

“But i get the feeling you really don't want what is offered so good luck to you also.” I already feel confident in god’s love. And I already believe that I’m immortal through reincarnation. I believe that this is everyone’s fate no matter how they believe. But since Christianity seems to DOMINATE these forums, then it only makes sense to asks questions about why people feel so compelled to believe in it. I still never got an answer to what we are being ‘saved’ from? It’s is just the free ticket to everlasting life that everyone is shooting for here? |

Abra not only once but multiple times we answered this question on how
to be saved and what you are being saved from. If you go back to right when you came on later. There were tons of posts that already answered that. So many posts that indeed a new reader will be lost because this question is repeated. KariZman anyone? That's what he does. He burns the question out and stumps into the ground without reading answers and understanding. Not everyone has to be in CONSENSUS for this to happen. I will say that in this thread it is fortunate that majority believers support the same claim. Jesus is the KEY to the father in heaven. |

So there's no need to repeat and beat it into the ground. We answered
that. |

Gods way of reaching man is with the holy spirit.
He does not need to reach down. Though some see him not he is IN you. All of you. Religion is the ritualist practice of worship. If you follow a church that has doctrine and ritual you are following a religion. Faith is reaching out to God and being as he wants you to be, everyting that you are. |

Good one pagrby, Also id like to add before someone says, how could God
do such a terrible thing. God didn't do it as much as you would have done it to yourself, in fact ifyou go to hell it's because you chose it. You refused Christ so, if you refuse Chrit, how can yu expect to be with him and God in the hereafter? After all Isn't Gd only honoring YOUR desicion not to fellowship with him? |

“I am being "saved" from that and a life of separation from God.” According to John 3:16 a person won’t have everlasting life if they don’t believe in Jesus. So it would be impossible to have a life of separation from God. Instead you would just ‘perish’ and not have everlasting life. The idea of perishing does not bother me personally. In fact, in some ways it’s more inviting than having to live for eternity. I wonder if there is an option to chose to perish at some later date if you decide that you don’t like heaven all that much. If there isn’t is seems to me that it would be a huge gamble to go there. What if you get there and then decide you don't like it? You might then be stuck there for all eternity! |

One can only hope LOL

abra do you not understand if you perish. That means HELL for eternity?
Do you not see that? You think being in agony with the enemy for eternally is a picnic? |
