Is it just me or is your intial reaction when someone leaves you a compliment in your email that they just wanna get in your pants?

Jamie, I always take compliments as if they are being offered sincerely. After some communication, you normally figure out if that is true or not.
I tend to compliment people often. For their writing, sense of humor, whatever and I am always sincere. Hmmmm, maybe I'm just used to people not wanting to get into my pants.

And that, right there, is exactly why a guy like me, who is actually sincere when he pays a compliment to a woman, won't even bother most of the time. Women have no idea how to appreciate it anymore. |

I give them. I get them. They lead to discussion and friendship. Sometimes I am ignored, but I never ignore a compliment. Sex is somewhere over the rainbow at this point.

I don't take compliments well, i always think someone is up to no good! As usual, I agree with you Pats  ..... not on the receiving end very often surely makes one " gun-shy" as it were

I believe one should never assume they mean something other than just a compliment. I have received compliments that never went any farther, someone just wanted to let me know they liked something I said or my pictures or profile.
I am gracious always and never assume there is a motive. Motives will come out if there is one no need to assume one. |

I generally find compliments in an initial email insincere. They usually consist of you're 'hot', 'sexy' or 'cute'.
Those ones I usually play with. I will ask them if they have actually read my profile. They are usually the ones the turn around really quickly and call names. I had one guy admit that he didn't read my profile. I told him to read the whole thing and then decide if he should be emailing me! He never emailed, but did appear that he at least clicked on my profile. |

see, i hate that. im a generally sincere person who has no problem giving a compliment, but sometimes when i do the person being complimented gets creeped out or something when i wsa just trying to be nice. oh well. i dont feel bad about it. it isnt my fault her father beat her with a compliment when she was younger. |
