Out of all honesty if they have and age restrictions on their profile it is there for a reason. Most likely they want to date and talk to those within their age range. For that is who they are looking for those that they have more in common with and enjoy the same things.

Some may say that age does not mean anything that in it's self is each individualize preference. Myself sorry I would not date anyone in their 20's no matter what my kids are in their 20's. Even if they were in their 30's it would have to be late 30's.

Myself I prefer those closer to my age that way we have more things in common in life and we are more on the same level of thinking as well.

I do enjoy talking to those younger or older but when it comes to dating I want someone that understands more on my level.

For those that like the younger ones more power to them in finding the ones that want someone around their dads age. Most the time those type relationships are short lived not saying they all are but a big percent of them are.

I know that when I was 20......I didnt want to date any old guy 40 years old!! I liked them young and stupid just like me!!!

I won't date in the same decade as my sons nor will I go more than 10yrs younger than me... As for older well I was the same as you Gyps, I'd never date anyone that looked my dad or uncles age and they were pretty young when I was in my 20's.. Now I am careful b/c sometimes a man my age can look my dad or uncles age....

I have found that I often have more in common with younger women. They tend to be better educated and more open minded in their views. But, they seldom think they know everything.

I have found a lot of women close to my age to be judgemental and unforgiving. They seem to see things as black or white with harsh lines deviding the two. They jump to conclusions before knowing the whole story. I've also met a lot of men my age that are the same way. I assume that's why I have so few friends close to my own age.

When I was in my 30s I dated a guy 56.......UGHHHHHHHHHHHH NEVER AGAIN!!!! He had the no mojo factor I usually date men a couple years younger than me but I wont date any really young or alot older. I NEED MY MOJO!!!!

I look at everybody's profile - male/female and young/old.

Scoundrel sometimes people look at pics b/c they can't see them very well and want to open them up and once they do they see the age or maybe the profile or something they don't like or maybe too shy to email.. Who knows.. But b/c they look doesn't mean they're interested.. I get quite a few views every day but very few emails so I figure they don't like what they see when they open my profile...

As for women your age being black or white in their views, well that's people.. I've learned on here and in life that many young ones are just as set in their ways..

Regardless, you have to do what works for you and what you're comfortable with...

Um, she couldn't tell how old you are in your default pic; it's black and white and your face doesn't show clearly. Also your age doesn't show on that list when you do a search of people, it just shows the pic, your headline and your location. I've clicked on lots of guys' pics who ended up up either too old or too young, because the pic was tiny and I couldn't tell what they looked like. I also couldn't tell if they were attractive or not, til I saw the bigger one. Doesn't mean I was interested in them, I just made a mistake.
