Well, next time... go out there with you robe on and curlers and heels.... peggy bundy style.... and smoke yourself a cigarette and have a little glass of hard liquor!

At least the neighbors will have something interesting to look at!

I'll take a lawn chair, side table with a beer and ashtray on it and slap on some hot pants and a tube top for em... get my oldest boy and his friends to put on speedos, fan me and feed me grapes..
why not really give em something to look at. bigsmile

There ya go! Now they will be calling the police on your for 'slave' labor! laugh

oh no...shocked they are all 25-30 year olds, no little boys.
That would create an entirely new issue..

Like what was discussed earlier... great that the cops do their jobs in your area... but sucks to have overly nosey neighbors!!!

molotov cocktail firebomb their home, and leave antifreeze out for their dog... And they will.

I just have to share this...

In the eighties, i lived in a trailer..lol, back then we called them trailer houses..(some calls it a slingblade)

lol, anyway, newly married, a disgruntled ex g/f and her boyfriend threw a molitave cocktail at my house..the bottle was plastic..it didn't explode..

When the officer got there, he decided to stomp it out..true story here..he caught on fire...we had to put him out..no, i'm not kidding. The young man was charged with reckless endangerment, they reduced the original charge of arson...The policeman wasn't hurt, but still..

And don't let me catch you smoking again, miss..laugh

IMO it isn't the cops pushing a suspicious attitude onto the people. It's people's reluctance to take some responsibility and expecting the govt (cops) to come and fix every little thing now. The neighbor called, the cops had no choice but to respond to a report of illegal activity. I worked for almost ten years as a 911 operator/police dispatcher. Trust me, I've heard it all. Mom's calling 'cause junior won't get up and go to school..send a cop to make him...oh please! Be a parent!

The neighbors should have confirmed their suspicions before calling. Even it the OP was smoking a joint, who was she hurting? Yet another reason why I miss the good old days, ya know, when neighbors actually spoke to each other. ohwell

I'd sit on my step will a phone in one hand and a smoke in the other and wait for them to check their mail, then call the cops saying someone is stealing the neighbors mail.

Utah, home of the Morman religion.

Smoking is against their teachings, might just not approve of it.
Also, don't approve of coffee, so don't go drinking that outside.

Yep, they don't want the "other element" here. Not so bad in Salt Lake City, my area is the worst, I think. Yeah the PNW is sounder better and better all the time.

Utah isn't really all that bad, they were one of the first states to decriminalize possession of marijuana and they also have tax stamps for it...for all the good it does...they aren't really led by religion all that much. By far better than most of the Midwest states...

However, on the other hand...Mormons are a bit odd (my nice way of saying they scare the **** out of me), the religion itself is made up of several different religions all combined into one book. Little bit of Christian, dash of Catholic, and why not add some Judaism on the side.

You're not that bad off if all you have to deal with is a random call from the cops, I'm surprised they bothered on a call for possible smoking weed since it is only a misdemeanor worthy of maybe a 100 dollar fine in Utah (trust me, I had a few).
