careening out the backdoor of my life, I'm seeking peace...
smack into the wall I built, to keep all out of reach.

alone with "self", perhaps I'll find, what I've looked for all these years...
it's time I faced the phantoms, ghosts and owned up to my fears.

there was a time I liked myself, perhaps I can again...
there's never been a better peace than that which is within.

if I can learn to accept me, just the way I am...
then lonely, won't be the only, pasttime for this man.
